Why didn't India pursue if it is so powerful? War isn't decided by one party. China says war is over, India has to agree? If you felt India was strong enough to continue the war then why didn't it? Because Indian forces were routed and you physically couldn't continue.

It's not easy for logistic supplies in the Himalayas and roads system was almost non existant back then in Tibet, it's already a miracle that Chinese army can rout Indians in that poor condition without enough supplies, India, on the other hand, have very shorter and easy supply routes but still got slaughtered by PLA, it's also equallly incredible and amazing.
