good news.but it is still too expensive
expensive yes,but plane is also expensive, one train can take 1200 people at one time at 600kmph,one plane can take how many?Generally 200 or 250,maybe 400 for Airbus A380(A380 has been proved a failure project),but still, far more less expensive all factors combined.

They should replace the pudong airport line with this one
1)From Shanghai Pudong Airport to Longyang Road Terminal, the current maglev train (the original technology of the vehicle comes from Germany, but many of the assistive technologies, including the world-class problems of sand soil sedimentation and reinforcement have adopted Chinese engineering technologies).

If you take a future 600 km/h track, it takes 5 minutes to complete the journey instead of 8 minutes for now.

There is no big difference between 8 minutes and 5 minutes as far as i am concerned.

2)I think that between Shanghai and Nanjing, and between Shanghai and Hangzhou, a 600kmph ultra-high-speed maglev train can be built.
Shanghai is China's super metropolis(24 millions population), Nanjing(8.43 millions population, meanwhile, is the capital of Jiangsu Province, one of the richest provinces in China, and Hangzhou(9.8 millions populationis the capital of Zhejiang Province, a province with a developed private economy in China.

Shanghai to Hangzhou

The flow of people and logistics between these three cities is intensive and there is no shortage of customers problem.
