Russia has signed a contract on the delivery of 24 Su-35 fighter jets to China

MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. The first batch of Russia’s Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets will be supplied to China in 2016, a source in the system of military and technical cooperation told TASS on Friday.

"The first fighter jets will arrive for China in 2016," the source said.

It was reported on Thursday that Russia had signed a contract on the delivery of 24 Su-35 fighter jets to China. The deal is estimated at no less than $2 billion and also envisages the delivery of ground support equipment and reserve aircraft engines.

A source in the system of military and technical cooperation told TASS earlier on Friday that the contract would be implemented over the next there years.

YES I think they will sell it to PAKISTAN or They will POSITIONED them in PAK sea Because Pakistan need Twin Engine Jet to defend it sea

We don't have problem but I'm always amazed to see the way of Pakistanis think... tagging and grouping Pakistan along with China.... thinking China will give anything that pak wanted...

Why would Russia sell Su-35s only to give it to Pakistan? Why not sell it to Pakistan directly? Makes no sense

If this article is correct, China is purchasing these aircraft until their own aircraft are ready.

Initially, these aircraft will be used to defend trouble areas like South China Sea and other areas in East Asia. Gwadar is not really a pressing problem for China since it's not even fully developed yet. Of course, if Pakistan get's it own Su-35s to base them on the coast.

So know we know the price of the Su-35. China paid about $83 million a piece.
