CHINA WANTS TO QUESTION AGNI-V LAUNCH AT UN SECURITY COUNCIL

Maintaining that its strategic capabilities were not targeted against any particular country, the MEA on Tuesday said it abides by all applicable international obligations and expects others do the same, while responding to Chinese reaction to its test-firing of Agni V missile.”India’s strategic capabilities are not targeted against any particular country. India abides by all the applicable international obligations and hopes that all other do the same. “India’s strategic autonomy and growing engagement contributes to strategic stability,” External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said.

but still according to MTCR, India can produce all those technologies used in subsonic cruise missile because their scientist even after failures told media about their great technologies. And because Pakistani scientists never talked about babur technology even after successful test, according to MTCR we don't have subsonic cruise missile technology, not even turbofan engine.
I think sufficient information is available from authentic sources and I have heard erstwhile Dr Samar Mubarakmand telling about Babur..anything more than that is not suitable for public domain. Just google and youtube it.

Good you can go to the UN. We are a responible nuclear power with a defensive nuclear doctrine
That's very official and diplomatic statement

By you logic every country who has enemies have right to built any kind of weapon system, then why cry against North Korea and Iran and similar countries?? They also have similar right.
No but Every responsible country can have as a deterrence...
Definitely a responsible country won't threaten to launch nukes just over a tweet.I hope point is clear..

India is a member of MTCR, in coming years missiles will become more refined with western tech. Chinese idea of counterbalancing India with pakistan is falling apart. They simply ended up antagonizing India to develop longer range missiles. With addition of SSBN's it will make things more scarier.

How does the MTCR work?

Members must have national policies governing export of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles, space launch vehicles, drones, remotely piloted vehicles, sounding rockets, and their components.

There are two categories of exports:

Category I, which are basically exports of complete products and major sub-systems and are meant to be extremely rare — with guidelines instructing members that “there will be strong presumption to deny transfers”;

Category II, which includes materials, technologies and components whose transfers can be made more easily, since they generally have civilian applications, even though these too are done with caution.

its a boost for India's non-proliferation credentials

US to consider exporting Category 1 UAVs, Reaper and Global Hawk, which have been key to counter-terrorism efforts in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen. These drones have so far been sold to only one country, the UK, though unarmed versions have also been made available to Italy and South Korea.

North Korea, Iran and Pakistan acquired ballistic missile technology from China. But then, China began to feel the pinch of US technology sanctions — and announced, in November 2000, that it would stop exporting ballistic missile technology. Four years later, it applied for MTCR membership — but has been denied entry because of suspicion that some companies in the country are secretly supplying technology to North Korea.

Any future indo-pak nuke exchange(mad) will result in few agni flying to China. China will pay the price for sure. Its going to be costly win for china. China knows this bitter truth.

Chinese have done missile proliferation and whatever the North Koreans missile tests are being done , it been backed by the Chinese.

Republic of India is just defending itself from all odds.

Its actually good. Such naive move has no chance of passing through if not vetoed by atleast 3 members. It will increase legitmacy of India nuclear ambitions and mark the arrival of India on a global stage. Moreover, it will allow India to further gain leverage against china by opening china's pandora box of nuclear program with rogues states like Pakistan on the same platform. Obviously India doesnt have the hard power to strongly enforce any decision. But these small leverages can quickly add up to form a major irritant.

rogues states like Pakistan? We are not more rogue then shithole ruled by hindu fanatics RSS, we dont have PM in our entire history who was banned in civilized world like your terrorist PM.. moreover it was not Pakistan whose activities led to the establishment of NSG, it was your pathetic country.. Pakistan is rogue bcoz we allegedly stole blue prints [dutch court cleared AQ Khan in this case], you bhangi stole whole candu plant provided for civil use and you are hero of the world?

i hope China will bring this in UNSC, if those 3 [on whom you are relying] approve indian activities they will automatically legitimse Pakistani actions.

what you will bring against Pakistan and China on table, dont western boy friends of bharat know how we get our job done under watchful eyes of uncle sam.. ? As if you bhartis will bring something new which world dont know...

I wonder how may of P5's would question Agni 5 launch other than China...!

NSG was created to stop the proliferation of Nuclear technology and to regulate Nuclear enrichment business. And this was not because of India. Apsara India's first nuclear research reactor, 4th August, 1956, the APSARA reactor attained criticality at 1545 hours., The reactor, built with indigenous effort, The design of APSARA, a pool type reactor, using enriched uranium fuel was conceptualized in 1955

The first set of NSG Guidelines governs the export of items that are especially designed or prepared for nuclear use. These include: (i) nuclear material; (ii) nuclear reactors and equipment therefore; (iii) non-nuclear material for reactors; (iv) plant and equipment for the reprocessing, enrichment, and conversion of nuclear material and for fuel fabrication and heavy water production; and (v) technology associated with each of the above items. The second set of NSG Guidelines governs the export of nuclear-related dual-use items and technologies (items that have both nuclear and non-nuclear applications), which could make a significant contribution to an unsafeguarded nuclear fuel cycle or nuclear explosive activity.

-Agni V has the capability to target and destroy space satellites in orbit. The missile scaled a height of 600 km before re-entering the atmosphere.

The DRDO's Long Range Tracking Radar can scan targets over 600 km away. The 'kill vehicle' has been developed as part of the ballistic missile system. It has both electronic and radio-frequency guidance that can home in on ballistic missiles and satellites. "Unlike a ballistic missile, a satellite has a predictive path. A satellite has a diameter of 1 meter while our BMD system can track and destroy targets less than 0.1 metres,"

. . .
If Pakistan fires nukes on India, its for sure that atleast 50 Agni-V will fly towards China with thermo-nuclear weapons. China will face the consequences of spreading nuclear technology to unstable states.

As long as there is not going to be a voting against India. India is sitting pretty.
Chinese concern does not mean resolution against India.

In all, India is not going to buckle under the Chinese pressure.
And this is not even a buckle down situation for India.

India can afford to be in a nonchalant mode on this/

In a rare case if anything happens to India through UNSC resolution. Trump will VETO it, not Russia which surely would abstain.
