China wants 'BRICS plus' to include 'friendly' countries, plan might hurt India's interests

As if China cares if India's interests are hurt.

And the same is true vice versa.

Honestly we dont need brics but lets have some fun with india :D .

Of course you don't, for that you would first have to be top economy to be even considered in the discussion. LOL!
We have no problem with Pakistan sitting in the bleachers cheerleading China...that's pretty much the only role for your country now!

.
No I'm saying its a two way street.
If China wants to include its "friends" in such groupings, it has to make concessions in other places to placate Indian concerns. Cant go around hurting our interests in groups like NSG and then expect us to dilute the vetos we have.

China did allow you to enter SCO and didn't make a big fuss about it. This is how mature nations behave.

Whereas India ALWAYS has concerns, worries, paranoia about anything as small as construction of a business building in a neighboring country, so no one cares about your paranoia.

How about Pakistan stop riding Chinese coat tails and earn something for itself?

Interesting, coming from someone who has just rented out their country to USA to be used as launching pad against China.

Awww then why are you so worried ? Replying me at 4am :sarcastic:

Same here. I'm not that excited about any BRICs proposition but if it hurts India so much, well, we can surely take our share of enjoyment from it :dance3:

. .
Again, spoken like a true lap dog.
China did not "allow" anything. It was our ally Russia that insisted that no Pakistan in the SCO without India.
So check yourself.

If Russia does it for India, it is "our ally" and in case of other countries it is "riding coat tails"...you Indians are truly "amajing".

Rented out how? Do tell.
Last I checked, it was China that reached its economic potential on the US dime.

@Chinese-Dragon Could you give our Indian friend some reality lessons about how USA has just made a pact with India to use Indian soil for attacking other countries, in case a war breakes out with the "enemies"?

:D . they did molana azhar episode now its our turn to return the favour . you know the good think about brics ?
.there is no usa in it :D . let listen weird indian excuses :)

Also a US citizen Jojo. Sorry to disappoint!
Wish of an H1B visa holder :D .

@coffee_cup
Screw all these cheap shots, why don't we discuss why Pakistan deserves to be in the BRICS Plus to begin with? Is it only because China says so?
Lets at least make a case for it and then see if this is realistic and beneficial to the BRICS group.

Why don't you first show me in the original post where does China say at all that Pakistan should be included in BRICS?

This is what China said:

"We hope to establish extensive partnerships and widen our circle of friends to turn it into the most impactful platform for South-South cooperation,"

And even that is enough for hyper-sensitive Indians to get depressed.

You lndians really need to see a psychologist as a first priority.

Pro-Beijing countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Mexico might be asked to join, analysts feel

Going off this line in the article.

But then again, if Pakistan wasn't even mentioned, what's your problem with India then? Why make lame duck comments like India cant bear to see developments benefitting its neighbors?
Its actually your first comment that got me started off...so why don't you explain that first?

.

To highlight insecurities of hype-sensitive Indians.

That even though China has not mentioned any country by name the jingoistic Indian media and all those so called Indian "experts" are getting diarrhea about what might happen.

An established pattern how paranoid Indians get their panties in twist whenever some neighboring country lays out plans about developing itself.

This unnecessary shivering about about what "could", "would", "might" happen has become a trademark of Indians.

So you want us to be reactive, not proactive?! Is that the advice?
No wonder Pakistan is where it is in bottom tier of economies and power spectrum.
I suggest your country keep hiding under the Chinese kimono (or whatever Chinese attire is), because with this attitude, there isn't much hope for Pakistan.

Thanks for the unsolicited advice and comments, but we are doing quite well with our current M.O.

Being proactive is one thing but being "concerned" and "worried" about EVERYTHING happening in the neighboring countries is plain paranoia.

"India is worried about port city project in Sri Lanka"

India is "concerned" about ally Bangladesh getting submarines

India is "concerned" about Pakistan-China-Russia synergy

Should India be "concerned" about One Belt One Road

India "concerned" about Gwadar Port

For heaven's sake, no one gives a tiny rat's arse about insecurities of hyper-sensitive India. The world does not revlove around you and every sovereign nation has right to develop itself or look-after its interests.

You Indians need to see a psychologist as a nation!

Geo politics is a game of chess and you have to think several moves ahead of your opponent. China is good at it and that's why they are where they are.
Your whiny bunch isn't.
So spare us the lecture.
We know our priorities and we look at them based on our vision and strategy.
We certainly don't need a rookie with questionable to no skills in geopolitics, giving us advice on how to operate.

If we need advice on how to spread/export terrorism and destablize ourselves internally, we will give you a shout.
Till then continue to follow chinas cue as you're destined to. You might just get somewhere.
