China urges India to stabilise ties for mutual benefit after BYD’s failed US$1 billion EV factory bid

Keep dreaming that China will eventually appease you in the border issue like 1962. India should ban all Chinese investments in India, it's good for both countries.
It's already doing that. It is your FM that is begging for access. And please you have zero control on what CCP does, so don't speak for them.

.
That's actually good news.

Our government is trying to speak with BYD to build a factory in Indonesia right now.

BYD is one of the top and most advanced EV producers.

And BYD was planning to build a huge factory with full range of product production, if we can convince, it will be great.

Banning of BYD shouldn’t come as a surprise as India previously banned Huawei in their 5G infrastructure bidding.

Yes, it should not be hard.

India is too large and getting bigger for Pakistan to catch up ever. Pakistan is screwed for next decade atleast with the economic malaise they are undergoing. By then India will be only third $10 trillion economy the world has ever seen. India, China and US will have their sphere of influence by then. Pakistan will bow down sooner or later.
The biggest misunderstanding of Indians is: China's success is easy to copy. They simplify China's model as one thing: West investment.

Even though, Indians can not deal with foreign investments properly. When the investments start to make money in India, Indians can not hold their impulse to rob them

Hmm. Rob them? We have opened our market for Xiaomi and other Chinese mobile companies and made them the best selling in the world. Xiaomi at one point was selling in India more than what it was in China. But in 2020 we saw the treacherous nature of Chinese state which was drunk of its own stupid might. India had to take action to protect it's interests. It will continue to do so.

We have more foreign investment flowing into India in the last 3 years than when China was freely allowed. That's the problem China is seeing, Pakistan and Sri Lanka were completely sucked out by you and there's nothing left there. And there is no place for your investment better than India at the present for the growth.

It's only a matter of time when Chinese will propose a settlement on the border to our liking. There is nothing that CCP bots can do about it other than somehow defending CCP's actions. Wait for your new orders shortly.

Well, India is actually oddly doing China a favor by banning these types of investments. Look at how the US fucked up by diving all in allowing its corporations to build massive industrial supply chains in China. It has only empowered a rival. BYD is one of the world's largest battery and EV producers, it would have contributed greatly to helping India become a center of battery and EV related industrial supply chains. But India is doing everything it can to spite China even when it is obviously beneficial for it to get these types of investments from Chinese corporations.

More like India would have established BYD as a global player just like how it did for Xiaomi and others. Anyways since you think it is a good deal and we do too, may be inform that to your FM so he would stop crying at these forums. Thank you.

Also Chinese companies establishes bases and indulge in assembly and never actual production. This is the nature of Chinese. This nature has ruined economies of Sri Lanka, Pakistan and several African countries. They all thought China would set up factories to boost up their economies when onboarding with BRI. However, China was in it for itself. It even brought labor from China to built these white horses completely depriving the local economy. All of these countries have learned it the hard way (some even lost rights to their own land for a century 😔). We are not foolish to fall for that.

And there's no evidence for that. Its not that BYD isn't already producing here EVs, its just that it is importing, assembling and selling them with next to no localisation or tech sharing.

LOL. The border conflict is just an excuse. Xiaomi has lost all profit it made since it entered India. With or without the border conflict, the robbery is bound to happen.

India has more investment than China in last 3 years? That's a stupid lie.

Only a fool would think that China will appease your slum country soon as in 1962 to settle the border issue, keep dreaming and your country will one day become a supa powa if not already one, lol. China can do without any business in the slum land, just stop any Chinese investments there, it's good for both countries.

CCP will have to work hard to regain the trust and respect it lost from India. CCP's past actions simply have not been honorable or trustworthy.

And there is a time clock on this.

Modi made the decision 3 years ago to jump on the anti-China bandwagon at the start of covid. He calculated that India will be the winner benefiting from the US led isolation of China and exit of industrial supply chains from China. That's the root cause of why Sino Indian relations declined dramatically in the last few years. I don't see this changing as it is clear that the Indian ruling class has placed its bets on becoming an anti-China US ally and the US is obviously working hard to cultivate India as such. So there really is nothing China can do about India becoming a hostile power other than to develop itself into an invincible power so that India doesn't try anything funny even if war breaks out over Taiwan.
