Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Queen (left) exchanged gifts today, including a collection of Shakespeare's sonnets and she received two of Madame Peng's (right) albums in return. Seems Peng is setting the bar high for future Chinese first ladies. Since she dresses quite classy(i like her style) and is not afraid to be more visible/outspoken in public, unlike other Chinese leaders who prefer to keep their wife out of public view/scrunity. WTH who knew who Hu Jingtao's wife was? anyone?o_O

From the pictures posted the Chinese First Lady is so elegant, Xi is a lucky man.

True talk, she was indeed the star of the event it seems. Upsetting both Xi and even our own very world renowned Duchess of Cambridge on home soil. lol

Well talking about mrs Xi, lets look more into this surprisingly open/outspoken Chinese first lady

It's good to know that britain is finally realizing that instead of containing China just like what usa is doing, the path of cooperation is the one that will bring prosperity to their country.

Thanks! I've been to Britain before, did London and Cambridge for a few weeks in summer and got burned by the British sun (maybe you guys consider that good?).... lots of fun at the time, lovely people and very rich culture.

My friend, the Fourth Reich does exist. Tho under another name:

eu_nations.gif

Blue you say?

ue-flag-1920x1080-wallpapers-612x336.jpg

Rise of Fourth Reich vs status quo Pax Americana in Europe? It's getting real!

UK is becoming important as China focuses more on the Eurasian context. How European UK is; that's debatable. But, UK is a nice bridgehead to both Europe and the US. UK is ripe to function as a bridgehead for China.

Of course, this does not mean China ignores real European powerhouses, including Germany and France. Especially Germany.

You are right, it's obvious where is the center of gravity in Europe - Berlin. However as you have mentioned, UK despite being at the peripheral orbit of this system, still has a lot of values to add in the grand vision. Other than being a major financial hub in the continent along with say Brussels, Luxembourg, London is also one of the three relay centers in the 24-hour common-law-axis of Newlonkong.
