China to Host Next Afghan-Taliban Talks

India has over extended in Afghanistan with Northern Alliance warlords and has failed. India has failed Afghanistan.

But don't worry China and Pakistan will help Afghans back to prosperity and peace.

You know I watched a CCTV live investigation in Afghanistan the other day. Afghanistan common people really hope peace and stable life. One teenager and his boss's story impressed me. The teenager has to earn money for him and his younger brothers, he don't want to talk about his parents. The reporter ask the boss: do you feel guilty to hire a teenager? He answer: no, I am helping him, he can learn repair car in my store, he is clever, in 3-5 years, he will be a skilled fixer. If I don't give him the chance/job, his future will be worse. You know, the clever boy would have been in school. Afghanistan's education, economy system had collapsed, they need to re-build, the condition is peaceful and stable country and govt.

Truly the situation there is really worrisome! We need to invest and restart the its economy for betterment of the whole TAP (Tajikistan Afghanistan Pakistan) - western China region. Many investments have already kicked start, now much assistance from Pakistan on security is needed.

Well said, Tajikistan also in the loop, let's do it bros!

Ive seen some truly shocking documentaries on Afghanistan. If only the solution is to simply restart the economy - the biggest problem lies in the culture of the place. It is a harsh harsh land and has bred some extremely predatory behaviour.

They have this thing for young boys and the strong men do as they will. Discipline is non existent and the proliferation of opiates have made its way into being a common household goods.

Its a broken land with broken households. The only way forward is if they are led by their women who are strong of heart and values but a lot of the men are just a bunch of predatory fcukers.

Actually we have little investment in Aghanistan, there are only some govt-govt cooperation projects. But referring to private or personal business, nobody want to go there, will you? Govt-govt project can increase their coutry/govt's tax revenue, but if their govt don't have good fair redistribution of fiscal expenditure or have corruption, the local people cann't get anything. Only the private or individual business can be mainly beneficial to the common people

Quite true bro! Our investment here is insignificant compared to that invested in other countries, despite China is still the biggest investor in the Afghanistan. Some projects as as below:
  • Electricity-generation projects, for mining and extractions purpose.
  • A freight railroad passing from western China through Tajikistan and Afghanistan to Pakistan (connected with future CPEC).
  • Touted to be the largest undeveloped copper field in the world (worth $88 billions), the Aynak copper field situated in the Logar province in central-east Afghanistan became the largest foreign direct investment ($3.5 billion) in the history of Afghanistan. The project is run by China Metallurgical Group Corp (中国冶金科工集团有限公司). On a side note, China consumes around 57% of world's total copper output, used to import almost entirely from southern hemisphere e.g. Chile, Australia, Sub-Saharan Africa, Argentine, Brazil.
  • The Hajigak project, a two billion-tonne deposit of high-grade iron ore in the central province of Bamiyan. Afghanistan is home to large iron ore deposits stretching across Herat and the Panjsher Valley
  • The China National Petroleum Company has started developing oil fields in the Amu Darya basin. In addition to that, basin in Mazar-e-Sharif is under exploration. Unexplored Afghan oil reserves now standing at 1,596 million barrels, and natural gas reserves placed at 15,687 trillion cubic feet.
  • Gold reserves in the northern provinces of Badakshan, Takhar and Ghazni.

Of course India wants regional peace. But Pakistan is the spoke in the wheel. It's doing its darnedest to ensure India is kept at arms length from Afghan affairs as it considers it to be its 'protectorate'.

The truth is 90% of Afghans hate Pakistan and don't want anything to do with it. It's only the 10% of Afghan Taliban and its affiliates, which have been nurtured by your Establishment, that Pakistan thinks represents Afghanistan. They don't! Period! And that's where the problem lies. The sooner Pakistan realizes this, the better.
So how come neither Afghanistan nor United State pull India in as an observer?
Maybe they did not think India can contribute?
Now there is nobody to represent India's interest in the region.
Big failure of India diplomacy.
