Frankly, I don't really care if the non-Mainland Chinese support CPC or not.

As long as the Mainland China is becoming stronger under CPC's leadership, everything will be fine.

Right now, HK is directly under PRC's control, but many HKers still cannot accept CPC's rightful leadership, because they still believe that the western world is superior, thus we should follow them.

Therefore, it will take HK and the rest of the non-PRC China more time to integrate with PRC.

When PRC has completely surpassed the West, then most people will eventually wake up and stop being superstitious over the western supremacy. Since most people have very little geopolitical knowledge, and I bet that most of them probably still believe that China's military technology is still like 1950s which relies on the human wave tactics. You simply cannot blame them for that, since most people are born to be ignorant and short-sighted.

This outcome has simply demoralized most Chinese people, but a group of Chinese guerilla fighters with strong faith who has struggled to become the leader of China.

Whereas the CPC took back Huangyan/Scarborough shoal in 2012, right from under America's nose, and forced them to abandon their "mutual defence treaty" with the Philippines. And no one even cares, there are no sanctions, no international condemnation.

That's how you play politics and diplomacy.
