By Azim M. MianPosted on: 43 minutes ago
NEW YORK: Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the UNGA here on Wednesday.

The Chinese premier said China hoped that there will be a better understanding of Pakistan’s position on Kashmir by the international community. He added that China attached great importance to Pakistan’s position on Kashmir.

Chinese premier further said his country would stand with Pakistan. “We support Pakistan and will speak for Pakistan at every forum.”

Stating that Pakistan was a victim of terrorism, the Chinese premier hoped the situation between Indian and Pakistan would not escalate. “We are ready to play constructive role in improvement of relations between Pakistan and India,” the Chinese premiere added.

The Chinese premier said China will stand with Pakistan; we support Pakistan and we will speak for Pakistan at every forum.

“We are thankful to Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for investing huge resources for the safety and security of Chinese personnel in Pakistan,” Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said.

Nowhere in the article is is mentioned that Le Kiqiang said that China supports Pakistani stance on Kashmir.

Infact China's Foreign ministry explicitly states China's stance on Kashmir:

China holds a consistent and clear position on the Kashmir issue, which we believe is a historical left-over issue between India and Pakistan and should be properly settled between the two countries through dialogue and consultation. China's position on the CPEC will not affect where we stand on the Kashmir issue.

Anyways this appears to be a case of doctored title by OP, even the GEO news article dies not mention that Le Keqiang said China supports Pakistan's stance on Kashmir.

Of course we stand with Pakistan. :china::pakistan:

Since it was India that attacked China during our worst ever famine in 1962, in order to grab Aksai Chin, which they "claim" is a part of Kashmir.

If we stood with India, that would mean we would have to give up our own territory (Aksai Chin). So it's impossible.

If the above quoted statement doesn't mean that China supports Pakistan's position on Kashmir then I wonder what does.

Indians feeling more isolated .

Please correct the title, it should be "Pakistan's stance on Kashmir"

You need a semi-working brain to know the answer. What does it look like to you? You don't think China is going to support Pakistan against India? Really?

As we speak, the Chinese are working on looking into loaning 40 J-11 or J-10's in case of a war with India. This is their best opportunity to make India loose a 100-150 SU-30's. Pakistan has no choice but to defend herself. But if it humiliates the IAF by taking out a huge number of their SU's (and of course, losing 200 of their own). Its still worth it. The entire globe would watch and the bogey-man effect of the SU's will be gone from India's neighbors like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, etc and then the entire globe. Perception is everything. Big powers maintain perception, not get into wars where they know they'll be handed their rears, whether they win or lose.

. .
And this is their foreign office version two days ago,

“Our position is that we hope all relevant parties can work together and remain committed to resolving these disputes through peaceful consultations and jointly maintain the peace and stability of the region. This in final analysis is conducive and will bring benefits to China, India, Pakistan and all the regional countries.”

Not sure, if OP is correct (which is far from truth), how can a sensible foreign policy make so much zigzag turns so quickly.

Sticking to a singular dimension of foreign policy for sixty years is stupidity. World has come a far away from '62.
