Fixed, only US had its 5th gen jet engine certificated, i am yet waiting to see the Russian one.
The 117, as a same core design with AL-31, is not a true 5th gen jet engine.
And this is exactly why everyone should put you on their ignore list. Do you perhaps think that T/W ratio, full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), fuel consumption, bypass-ratio, dry thrust, mean time between overhauls (MTBO), service life...ect...ect have anything to do with it?
And please educate yourself about an engine 'core' the 117 and 117S is roughly the equivalent size and dimensions as the AL-31 series engine so of course it would have a similar core. To be a little more specific the core surrounds the turbines, if the 117 has the same dimension turbines as the AL-31 it would have to have a similar core. I mentioned what really matters in an engine such as bypass-ratio, and T/W ratio. Engine core
