It is news without any official confirm and no author, and I have searched all major sites there are no chinese news about it.

And personally, no offense, I think chinese govt is not so stupid to set our second life line of enery pass through a country which alwasy think us as their enemy.? Is CPC mad? It is very obvious that this kind energy line should be set to pass through some friend countries whatever how much it will cost. Bcoz friend country like pakistan will never cut off it when their is a war between china and other countries.

. .
World energy situation is changing so fast that there are no permanent friends or foes as far as energy security is concerned. There are energy surplus states such iran, iraq, qatar, burma and there are energy hungry states such as USA, India, and china. So, the situation is, no matter how hostile and competing the states are, they will have to come together and share the energy reserves. Whether they like it or not is not a question, the truth is there is no alternative.

for example,

INDIA-BURMA GAS PIPELINE
India is investing $US1.35 billion in gas projects in military-ruled Burma, the two governments have announced, as the neighbouring nations pursue closer economic and diplomatic ties.

India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) and Gas Authority of India Ltd (Gail) will spend SUS1.1 billion on rights to develop two gas field blocks and $US250 million on a connecting pipeline, India’s energy ministry said in a statement.

Burma’s military government confirmed the gas investment in a statement following broader diplomatic talks held with an Indian delegation on 1 March in its remote capital Naypyidaw.

Burma “welcomed the additional investment of $US1.1 billion… for gas field development and upstream projects”, it said in a statement, referring only to the gas fields deal. “Both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in this field,” it said.

The other $US250 million investment gives India a 12.5 percent stake in a $US2 billion pipeline being built by China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), China’s top oil producer. The first gas is expected in early 2013.
ONGC will spend $US167.8 million while Gail will invest $US83.8 million in the 771-kilometre (480-mile) pipeline which will transport gas from the two blocks off the Burma coast to China.

The connected gas blocks are jointly owned by South Korea’s Daewoo, Korea Gas Corp, ONGC and Gail.

Hmmmm....

At least now Pakistan should realize China is all about business, just like US. They dropped the plan just to save a little money and their are members here who expect china to nuke India and wipe us off the world map.

Its just China vs USA in the world now. These two expansionists. They both are using any country that they can extract the max out of, and then they'll abandon them. They are here for their profits, and domination not ours.

Funny.................they dont need so they dont want :D
China was never a part of that project.......it was Pak proposal fot it for Pak good will.

Besides that try ur best.....u cant brake Pak-China friendship chain :)

. .
for some reason people think just because china pulls outta this it mean that china-pak relations are fake(jealous much?)....

this is about whether the line is profitable for us. why should china risk its supplies and possibly lose billions just so pakistan has the line through them? just because we are allies does not mean we should do things to benefit Pakistani minimally but would cost us greatly it would be far better/smarter to just give or invest that money if we wanted to give it to them. any really friend would not mind this and would understand, which btw im sure pakistan understands.
