What's new

China says 2 pilots died in aircraft carrier tests

But no one knows exactly, how many pilots could do that on Liaoning, and the training operation seem to be halted on Liaoning.

Out of curiosity, do you know how many American carriers are out on the seas at one time? It has something to do with cash, but not really.

If you know that you would know how ridicules you sound, do you ever learn anything from this forum? I have.

BTW, the reason is not because they suck.

I did not say that they suck.

. . .
Could you tell me how many pilot could landing onto Liaoning at this moment?
are there enough J15 for Liaoning ? are they mature ?

How would I know, you know how many pilots are there in the Vietnamese AF that can pilot the Su-30 effectively?

Enough? No, obviously, it's still in testing stage, you can tell by everyone including us say it's in testing stage.

Are they mature? Relative to what? People who can't pilot? Who can't land on a carrier? US pilots?

Since you won't say, Liaoning is undergoing maintenance, every carrier must do this, every now and again, and it's not short, hence the stop of training ON the carrier.

.
Genesis, I just guess that PLAN paying much attention to study more on A.C operations after some unexpected things, the proposal of letting Chinese staff visit US A.C is an example.
My guess could be wrong or right.

Liaoning under maintenance, it's normal. But I mean the training in general not during maintenance.

It seem that the improvement to Liaoning is minor, but the improvements to J15 is more priority.
And I noticed that, we will never know when Liaoning get the full fleet

Don't make it too seriously.

Following his tour of the Liaoning, he said he met about 180 of its crew, who questioned him about how to certify carriers as seaworthy after maintenance, and how to lead a strong naval aviation wing.

Adm. Greenert said he asked the crew which U.S. ports they would like the Liaoning to visit, and some said Hawaii. "When that carrier's ready to go out and underway, visiting Pearl Harbor may be a natural progression," he said.

LOL..thats weird as that'll mean China only trained 2 pilots..right??I think you should go to the english class.don't know anything about local media, but in every corner of this earth, meaning of "Sacrifice" is same.don't know what is the fact.but I posted the news from Xinhua's english version.I don't think they make this kind of errors.

but then again, there is nothing to be ashamed of.Carrier takes life more than just frequently.and China is the newest member who joined Carrier club.expect higher casualty in this training as Carrier Landing is considered to be one of the most dangerous job even now.

see this video...its from US Navy..

The 1st 2 pilots that carried out the flights were rewarded.

Your comprehension skills are limited

This was reported in the incorrect way in english media to the way it was meant to be reported and the jumping fools believed there were 2 deaths

Bottom line is there has been no reports of crashes :coffee:

Its ok China. Welcome to the club.:D:P
We have witnessed similar accidents as well.no pain no gain...:bounce:

But there was no crash. A mistranslation has been taken as a 2 deaths.
This is incorrect.

ever heard the word "Posthumously Awarded"??please, enough of this bullsh!t.what do you think, whole world misunderstood the line,or the writer $uck$ in English just like you??

the line was............."Two test pilots of the squadron sacrificed their lives during the tests."

that line is perfectly fine in every corner of the world.but probably it doesn't fit with your "Superior Ego".thus, the denial.by the way,by engaging with me using this kind of "Logic",you're making fool out of yourself.you should go back to school for English Class.now, don't claim its a language of "Colonial Powers" or something, which is very common from Chinese trolls.

This is verified as Xinhua article.
there's no doubt that they reported 2 killed during tests of J15.
It could be during landing, take-off or during flights.

It's not wrong to guess possibility of crash during landing. Why not?

BEIJING, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping has signed an order of commendation to honor the crew of the first aircraft carrier-based fighter jet.

According to the commendation order, a test squadron of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force were granted a honorary title for successfully conducting the take-off and landing tests of J-15 fighters on the Liaoning, China's sole aircraft carrier.

The order spoke highly of the squadron in the exploration and development of the J-15 fighter jet. Two test pilots of the squadron sacrificed their lives during the tests.

Butturt Indians jumped all over this fake story and once you got exposed, you try making up 'posthumous awards'

It was your ego that has been hurt after your fake story was exposed as a mistranslation.
The meaning of the original article was that the two pilots that did the first flight landings put their lives at risk (sacrificing their lives for the nation considering the risk) and were awarded medals.

The mistranslation was the word 'sacrificed' was used instead of 'risked'.

It is like how your fellow Indian HariPrasad was going on about Chinese remote sensing satellites supposedly being 2 generations behind Indian remote sensing satellites and he was exposed and humiliated by other members

Do you have any trust source to say difference ?
If you based on Xinhua, they said 2 was killed during test of J15 for Liaoning.
Or you could bring Xinhua to court.

If you read the English language versions like Xinhua, China Daily, Global Times on a regular basis as I do, then you would know they make many mistakes in their articles from incorrect words to shameful spelling mistakes.

Maybe. But death or alive are too much different. LOL Xinhua !!!

If that's an old leader, they could use "sacrifice his life" with imply he's not killed during something.
but to a few testing years of test pilots "sacrifice their lives" has nothing else but "was killed" meaning.
