Does Pelosi's ability to conceal business interests have anything to do with the Chinese govt she will contact?

If she is just a poor person without any investment, China's sanctions can not hurt her.

But if her family has $100 million, she needs an investment channel.

Yes, there are tons...remember people were making investments and making millions long before China entered the world market.

Ok, I'm asking you for a second time...what was this supposedly about?

In 1997, US House Speaker Gingrich went to Taiwan, Taiwan leader Lee Teng Hui has publicly announced that he wants independence.

China has assembled a large number of ships in Xiamen to prepare to attack the island. However, rear admiral Ji Shengde of the Chinese Navy leaked the news that China was ready to go to war to the Americans. The USA sent an aircraft carrier fleet to block the Chinese Navy from going to sea in Xiamen.

China can only cancel its combat plan. Feeling ashamed and angry, Yang shunju, commander of the East China Sea fleet of the Chinese Navy, shot himself in the chest when he received the order to cancel the operation. Later, China forced the US fleet to retreat by actively exposing the nuclear submarines already in service, and made Lee Teng Hui cancel his independence plan.

Taiwan spy Ji Shengde was sentenced to death. Ji Shengde's father, Ji Pengfei (former lieutenant general of the founding of China), committed suicide because he felt ashamed.

Third ranking? Yeah if the President and VP both die and make her queen.
Well, maybe she doesn't have much power. But she always finds something to exchange. Maybe it's intelligence.

What? Port blocking...with carriers?

Give me a break. There were aircraft carriers in the area (just like there are nowadays) but no actual port blocking.

Was your Air Force's aircraft and pilots so completely inept in 1997 that they couldn't defend their own Navy ships in their own waterways from US Naval planes from the 2 US carriers?????

Now you are just being silly. No Navy is going to use that against military air or sea targets.

Are you really going to claim you had no jet fighters back then to provide air cover for your naval ships off your own shores.

So your Navy was stuck at port for fear of being blown out of the water? Are you really going to claim your Air Force was that pathetic?

I know you won't believe it, but this is our cruel truth.

The J-10 was commissioned in 2002. In 1997, PLAAF even had only a few hundred J-7(MIG-21). In 1997, PLAAF was also equipped with more than 5000 J-6(MIG-19).

The Chinese navy is more miserable than the Chinese air force. The only bright spot is the possession of nuclear submarines.

Tell you a shocking fact. At that time, the Chinese Navy's warships were even inferior to the Vietnamese Navy. On March 14, 1988, a naval battle broke out between China and Vietnam. The Chinese warships defeated the Vietnamese with grenades and rocket propelled grenades by approaching the Vietnamese warships. We were still in the fuckin '90s fighting a board on board Tactics.

Also, in the 1990s, China imported warships from Pakistan.

Doesn't matter one bit when the mainland chinese government and the Yankee deep state are covert butt buddies and in cahoots with respect to keeping their populations attention diverted from internal issues.

He’s not lying that’s how the Chinese Navy was — don’t forget they’ve had tensions with USSR as well, and China wasn’t in position to develop much until 2000s.

Apparently they had enough planes to crash into one of ours off Hainan island 4 years later in April 2001. Of course they claimed their Air Force was highly skilled and not some hopelessly crude 3rd World country one. I guess they somehow did a quick 180 in that span.
