Not sure why everyone is making a big deal of this. I just heard from my Indian sources that this is not soldiers in custody at all. These images show the daily Chinese and Indian, Pin The Tail on the donkey games they play on the border. Bollywood movie to follow.

Because of the failure of the negotiations, India needs to deploy 100000 Indian troops on the China-Indian border this winter. In 2020, India's logistical supply to the China-Indian border army is very poor.
I hope the Indian govt can do better this year. But I heard that India is experiencing high inflation and lack of materials. Does the Indian govt consider purchasing military winter materials from China?

The so-called 2nd hand U.S. military winter gear were manufactured in China anyway. It is probably cheaper to cut out the middleman.

This year, inflation is all over the world, except China, and material shortage is all over the world, except China. Indians may find it hard to find second-hand American winter clothes this year.
I suggest the Indian army come to China to buy it, the price is cheap and the delivery is fast. It will be transported to the Sino Indian border before winter, Because we can deliver it from the supply channel of the PLA.

The advantage that Indians have is that they are so dark skinned that even after Chinese beat them black and blue it won't show up in the pictures and videos.

I don't get how Indians have the gall to still claim their soldiers killed 50 chinese soldiers,China would have wiped these guys out and pushed the toll above 50 ,,if Indian army had managed to killed even 8,not 4, that china officially claimed.China has been pretty restrained after their dominance in the clash,some other nation's military might have caved into bloodlust ,killing all captives after one of their's own has been killed.

In the last stage of the kalwan conflict, some PLA appeared from the rear of the Indian army, captured all their officers, and cut off the passage of Indians on the river. Indian soldiers collapsed because of lack of command. They tried to cross the river and running away, it caused hundreds of people to fall into the river.
