China is asking for more evidence in the UN. Which India has failed to give.

Quite different from training a terrorist organisation on Indian soil like Indira Gandhi did with the Tamil Tigers, who were the modern world's first suicide bombers.

The group has been designated as a terrorist organisation by Pakistan, Australia, Canada, India, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Nations

Exactly.

Chinese small arms n personnel armor like submachine guns, handguns, shotguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, handgrenades, RPGs, kevlar vests, kevlar helmets would have flooded the NE- all of which are more than enough to put the indian army to shame.

The Union Home Ministry is understood to have taken note of the seizure of an AK 47 and an M-16 rifle and other accessories from a house at Indisen village near Dimapur in Nagaland on Sunday.

A combined force of the Nagaland police and 36 Assam Rifles troopers conducted the raid on the basis of an intelligence tip-off, the police said on Monday.

The police have withheld the identity of the man arrested in this connection since some big catches are expected. He is now being interrogated.

Seizure of such sophisticated rifles is reported frequently from some Northeastern States.

International gunrunners are believed to be operating along the 358-km Manipur-Myanmar border to supply arms to the ever-increasing number of insurgent outfits in the region.

Border Security Force personnel deployed along the International Border with Manipur were replaced some years ago by the Assam Rifles trained in counter-insurgency operations.

There have been ambushes in Chandel district in which several Army men have lost their lives. Several hundred vehicles ply along the Trans-Asian Highway no. 102 passing through Moreh, Manipur’s border town, which makes it easy to transport illegal weapons. Automatic guns and explosives are also smuggled to the region through the mountain bridle paths.

Arms smuggling

Sources say there are several groups willing to smuggle guns along the highway for a fee. In the past, the Assam Rifles troopers have seized guns concealed in cars and explosives stuffed inside fish tins, pumpkins and coconuts. Some have even been arrested with huge caches of arms openly brought in cars and vans.

Work on a 10-km border fence was started along the Moreh-Myanmar border mainly to keep off arms and drug smugglers. However, the work was suspended after several villages the fence would have cut across objected.

According to Intelligence agencies reports around 5000 Chinese Fighters are there inside Syria.

Indian Establishment know how to solve the problems and even what is going on along the borders. Proliferation is a much bigger problem which even United States of America have pointed out similar like Republic of India.

Three alleged members of a gang, including two Kashmir residents, have been arrested from West Bengal’s South 24-Parganas district, the state police said on Sunday.

The police busted a gang of around 10 criminals in the forests South 24-Pargana district’s Joynagar and seized several arms and ammunition on Saturday.

“We raided the forest area and arrested three, including two youths from Kashmir’s Uri town, while the other gang members managed to escape. Seven to eight bombs and several other arms were seized from them,” a senior officer of Joynagar police station said.

The officer said they have identified a local goon named Halim Seikh, but declined to give out the names of the two arrested Kashmiris in view of pending investigation.

“We cannot divulge much details about the two Kashmiri youths for the sake of further investigation. We are trying to find out why they have come this far all the way from Kashmir. It is certain that the gang gathered in the forest of Sundarbans with some anti-social motive,” the officer said.

Guwahati: In what has alarmed the Ministry of Home Affairs, China has roped in militant groups of Northeast to launch a proxy war against India.

Authoritative security sources in the home ministry told this newspaper that a recent statement of outlawed Ulfa-I against the Dalai Lama was dictated by China.

The statement of Ulfa-I was aimed more at propagating Chinese view point on territorial dispute between India and China, than targeting the Dalai Lama.

The security sources said that Ulfa chairman Abhizeet Asom’s statement was framed and dictated by China. “In the list of Indian illegal occupation is of course Nan Zang (Southern Tibet). The cunning Indian premier of the day, Nehru grabbed the opportunity of attempting to undo the acceptance of Tibet a part of China in 1951,” the Ulfa-I’s statement said.

A few Chinese agencies drafted the statement of Ulfa-I, which was released to media on March 28, a day before China launched its aggressive campaign against the visit of the Dalai Lama to Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh, security sources said.

The statement, addressing the Dalai Lama said, “Despite the deceitful drawing of the McMohan line then, and your Holiness’s acceptance that your homeland is an autonomous region of China, you are perpetrating the fallacy of 1914 by reiterating that Tawang belongs to India.”

The security sources said that this was not the first instance Ulfa-I was playing into the hands of China. In 2015, Ulfa was instrumental in floating a “Tibet Support Group” in Assam to launch a proxy war against India at the behest of China.

Pointing out that elusive Ulfa-I chief Paresh Baruah was taking shelter in China, security sources said that Ulfa, in 1992, had described Bangladeshi immigrant as “builder of Assam”. It was the period when Ulfa leadership was looking for shelter in Bangladesh. However, stiff opposition in Assam forced Ulfa to give up that narrative subsequently.

Asserting that China was not interested in organizational strength of Ulfa-I, security sources said that China intends to intensify its proxy war against India in the Northeast through the separatist groups.

Indicating that home ministry was vigilant on growing nexus of northeast militant groups in China, sources said that despite aggressive opposition of China, India has refused to curtail the visit of the Dalai Lama to Tawang.
