No there is a real threat from Islamic terorirts who despise China for banning the practice islam of Islamic prayer in certain regions

I just had dinner with one of the very senior oil man from Pakistan. In his opinion, only the Parco plant at Karachi and the Chinese refinery /petrochemical complex are likely to get built. 15,000 bpd refinery at Kohat is also a strong possibility but DI Khan refinery is nothing but wishful thinking on part of the KOGCL.

That project is not economically viable for the simple reason that total crude output of Pakistan is only about 100K bpd with KPK producing about 50% or about 50K bpd. There is always a possibility that no additional crude field is found, why would Chinese or anyone else pour billions in a 100K bpd refinery?

Half of pakistan is part of some chinese connection... if your theory was true they would be blowing those up... in fact they arent... because we have cut the sourse of their funding coming from wire transfers from india... there goes their motivation.
