China, our ‘great neighbour’, will help Afghanistan forge peace: Taliban

My question is again that if Afghans support Taliban, then why are so many Afghans trying to flee the country now?
Let me introduce how ordinary Chinese view the Taliban:
Chinese people usually have two characteristics in thinking.
1, Marxist dialectics,
2, looking for the main contradiction.

Marx's dialectics holds that everything is contradictory and unified.
So Chinese thinking is that the Taliban have a negative side and a positive side.

The Taliban has supported terrorist organizations, oppressed women, bombed human cultural heritage and so on. It is a religious conservative extremist force. This is the negative side of the Taliban.
The Taliban has been suppressed by the U.S. occupying forces and the Afghan puppet government for 20 years, but it can still develop and grow. The Taliban must have the support of the Afghan people. This is the positive side of the Taliban.

And let's look for the main contradictions in Afghan society.
When the rule of the American army and the Afghan puppet government, the Afghan people as poor as a church mouse. So the main contradiction at that time was the contradiction between the imperialist occupying forces and the Afghan people.
So when the Taliban regain power, what is the main contradiction in Afghan society?
If the Taliban government oppresses the people as before, the main contradiction will be the contradiction between the Taliban government and the Afghan people.
If the Taliban government makes changes, the main contradiction will be the contradiction between the material needs of the Afghan people and the backward economic level of Afghanistan.

So what distinguishes two countries who have national interests that conflict against one another's?
Also what do you do when that happens? Who gets to pursue theirs?

Both sides with conflicting national interests can find ways to create alignments. If that fails, then trying to outwit and outdo the opposing side with all non-military means is the next step, which may take a long time. War, as implementation of policy by other means, remains only a last resort. IF there are nuclear weapons present, then usually the best way forward is via economic pressure, which may need to be sustained over a prolonged period of time.

Whoever pursues their interests the best win the rewards, but no one gives up their interests, even in defeat. Everyone simply moves on to the next innings for another round. It never ends.

Very insightful. :sarcastic:

Can you summarize at the end. Do Chinese trust these Talibans enough to lend them their money?

How do you know what choice Afghan people made? Was there a referendum or election to ask them their opinion? No.
An insurgent group has overtaken the country by force and is dictating terms to Afghan people. Common Afghans are too scared to oppose Taliban militants at the moment.
You are just defending Taliban because you are happy to see US going away from your neighborhood.
Isn't it obvious enough that after 20 years, US still can't kill Taliban and they took over the country in a matter of days when US decided to leave, any forces can survive this long and overrun a country this fast without the support from the general public?

No doubt, there is some support for Taliban from certain conservative Afghans and outside powers (we know the chief supporting nation). However, we cannot say they have widespread support of majority Afghans. If they do, then Taliban should not be reluctant to hold a referendum / election to confirm that.

When western nations invaded Afghanistan , did they ask for a referendum? can you imagine any force can achieve this much and this fast without the support of majority of the public? can you name one?

The people realise the pedofile drug addict commanders were far worse then the taliban in afghanistan so they chose the taliban instead and thats why the taliban got majority support. Brutal local commanders who rape children daily and abuse drugs and kill freely with no consequences rubbed the afghan people the wrong way and thats when Taliban became popular as they bring rules and order

After Taliban govt was overthrown and nation stabilized, an election was held and an Afghan led govt was installed. If Taliban is confident of Afghan support, they should bring out a roadmap where they would hold elections as well. Why are they afraid of Afghan opinion if they claim to have their support?

You are talking of swift victory as a sign of support. Even Chenghis Khan had many swift victories. Many cities surrendered without a fight due to the fear of massacre if they do not. In WW2, Germany achieved swift victories over Poland, France etc. Does that mean the people actually supported these victors?
Holding free and fair elections without the fear of retaliation is the only way to know.

Don’t worry about these Indians their dreams were shattered in 11 day’s after the false hope given by their media over the years.

He’s talking about referendum which is laughable. Not realizing the Talibans were in negotiation with tribal and clan leaders since March of this year and not a single bullet was fired in resistance.

This to from a population that is heavily armed from the day their born. It’s just Pajeet’s can’t get it through their heads, since we on referendum why not hold one in Indian Occupied Kashmir?

Do you think the majority of Afghan people support Taliban or US sponsored so called "democratically elected" Afghan government?

Then why is it that the outbound Afghan migration has spiked after Taliban takeover?

The only way to know what majority of Afghans support is to hold an election.

Are you out of mind? I m talking about countries domestic issues, not invading foreign forces.

Because they were on the losing side and have to leave its pretty simple Indian...You lose you don't want to stick around for being a traitor and helping americans

The only way is to leave Afghan people alone and let them decide their own future, you Indians should learn to stay out of it, learn from US this time.
