In response to these claims, the Ministry of National Defense stated today that the national military, through joint intelligence monitoring, has been meticulously and very cautiously monitoring all maritime and aerial activities around the Taiwan Strait.

As of now, there is no verified information confirming the incident. The current circulating information is solely based on what's being spread on social media, with no other official sources confirming the event.

About the Type 093
The Type 093, also known by its NATO reporting name as the "Shang class," is a nuclear-powered attack submarine designed by the People's Republic of China for the People's Liberation Army Navy.

She has a displacement of 6,096 tonnes when submerged. The submarine measures 107 meters in length, has a beam of 11 meters, and a draft of 7.5 meters.

Powered by a pressurized water nuclear reactor, the Type 093 can reach speeds of up to 30 knots, or 56 km/h. Her range is unlimited due to its nuclear propulsion, and she can accommodate a crew of 100.

For sensors and processing, Type 093 is outfitted with a Type 359 radar, hull-mounted sonar, flank array sonar, passive intercept array sonar, and in her later variants, a towed array sonar.
