I keep telling you the populations of most cities in the US are too low for HSR...yet you keep persisting we should be spending Billions on it meanwhile you don't even have one connecting Kashgar which would qualify as one of our biggest cities if it was in the US. There's close to 20,000 cities and towns in the US and ~19,980 have a population less than Kashgar.

Hmm your HSR seems to be focused on your East coast meanwhile our major connections would have to span on both sides as we have high populations in 4 corners but empty in the middle.

China's population is 4 times of America's, and also you have to factor in the terrain issues, many Chinese town with smaller population than Kashgar have HSR, Kashgar is a desert oasis city, constant heavy sandstorms make bullet trains operation very risky, China is working on overcoming those difficulties, Urumqi-Kashagr HSR is now under feasibility study stage.
