Bro it very much could be, you know China always factor in Pakistan's concern in foreign affairs, even to the level of using veto in UN. China's Afghan agenda are quite simple: copper (and other minerals), OBOR connectivity, clear ETIM cells, revitalise local market. China cannot mess in their politics but do maintain open channel with various factions, what can China do for Pakistan in this newly formed quartet?

Pashtuns are 50% in Afghanistan of which 20 to 22% are Shiite pashtuns the rest are sunnis. on top of that tajiks are 27% in Afghanistan Tajiks are both Shiite and Sunni the whole of mazar e Sharif is Shiite consisting of Shiite Tajiks then there are hazaras which consist 12% of Afghanistan hazaras are Shiites then there are Uzbeks Uzbeks are both Shiite and Sunni then Uzbeks are 5 to 7% of Afghanistan then remaining 5% are other tribes like qizalbash in Afghanistan which is a Shia tribe . Sunnis are maximum 50 to 55% percent in Afghanistan the rest are Shiites all the afghan warlords are Shiites that's why Pakistan created Taliban to finish the warlords which they couldn't . ontop of that tajiks and Uzbeks fought together against Talibans there is no distinction bw Sunni tajik or Shiite tajik they fight together same in the case with Uzbeks Tajiks Hazaras and Uzbeks and other tribes of afghanistan fought together against wahhabi deobandi foreign school of thought talibans. Remnants of zia sectarian policy makers were so upset in afghanistan that they even facilitated the move of osama bin laden in afghanistan from sudan so as he could bring wahhabism and al qaeda in afghanistan so as to curtail Iranian and Shia influence in Afghanistan . thanks

Stop making stupid claims.. Other than Hazara minority and some Uzbeks, whole Afghanistan is predominantly Sunni. Best estimate suggest not more than 10-12% in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
