China launched the fourth "COMPASS" navigational satellite

Sure if the weapons depend on the satellite quided navigation. It would certain be useful for babur cruise missiles to be compatible to COMPASS system.

This is the best part of this thread.

It's not a spy satellite, it's used for navigation.

These series of satelites are supposed to provide China with a GPS-like navigation capability.

This is to end Chinas reliance on the U.S. GPS system for guidance on some of its weapon systems.

And so will be for Pakistan

Please explain a little bit,
babur cruise missile this time, how it hits the target, (with out sattalite navigation)
and after the sattalite navigation what kind of strength will be increase ?

I believe that babur is likely using digital maps, GPS coordinates or some kind of datalink to receive GPS satellite updates. Without digital maps or the satellite information cruise missiles won't be able to hit the target accurately. Chinese COMPASS could provide additional targeting and navigation support for the missiles. It won't be cut off as GPS in times of a war.

good for civilians too when all 4 major gps systems are up (american, russian,EU,china) we'll have some 74 sats to determine our positions with.
