China & Laos vows to further enhance military relations

Good for you son, let us continue to "negotiate peacefully" on issues surrounding the South China Sea

That is a reason why, yours Vice President will visit Vietnam in "peacefully" by his diplomacy on this month.

Viva_viet:

My brothers [4] was died in Cambodia battle fields in Kambongthom, Kong pong cham and Siem Reap and I was stationed in Takeo 1981.

So let not talk about Cambodia.

Which is a good thing. Don't think too much of it, it's a normal procedure and a wannabe power such as Vietnam will need to get use to it. China have greeted and hosted foreign ambassadors and officials for years. It is time for Vietnam to learn and do the same. Talking is one thing, but the explorations on SCS and infrastructural developments on Spratly islands will be ever ongoing :kiss3:

Yep, so it's time we should station in Laos to kick China out of Mekong river now :P

Hehe, whatever , China still can not build her dam project in Laos, so who cares about some flies buzzing in Mekong river ??:P

Which is an on going game with America. Don't mistake American and China's chess game as a Vietnamese one. The result of Vietnam and Chinese game resulted in lots of angry people protesting in Hanoi, ASEAN inviting Americans back and now joint cooperation with four of your neighbours in your backyard :D

1. US fled to Aussie already, no more US chess game in ASEAN

2. As I remember US-China played chess with VietNam in 1979 too , and both fatty guys lost a chess called Cambodia

1. Wrong. America quit Iraq, come back to Australia and is coming back to curb Vietnam's ambitions. No leadership duty in ASEAN for you buddy: http://www.philippinenews.com/latest-news/5140.html

WASHINGTON/SINGAPORE: The US Navy said it would station several new coastal combat ships in Singapore and perhaps in the Philippines in coming years

2. Wrong way to look at it. it was a proxy war between America and China and Vietnam was the unlucky choice for a battlefield. America's South Vietnam lost and China backed North Vietnam prevailed. If you want to look at it from another perspective you can also look at it as America and China both destroyed your economy by wiping your infrastructures, tainting your lands and population with chemicals and applying tough sanctions for decades. Both America and China are also far ahead in terms of economical and military developments

Hehe, just some tiny warships and easily can be sunk by our Yakhont . US lost to control VN even when she had 500,000 troops ,plus 300,000 SK troops ,plus some thousand NATO-Aussie troops , so how can US control VN with some tiny warship ??:pop:

Hehe, China built VN's infrastructure , so we just simpy count it to your loan given to VN, we lost some brave men-women, but US-China lost Cambodia :P

US has to clean our toxic land now , so our land will turn back to fertile land soon

Not like Vietnam will have the guts to challenge America in the region let alone try and sink their ships. They have created enough long term problems from 40+ years ago to your country that it is unthinkable what they can do to you now.

Vietnam have to sit in the backseat and let America take control again, it's so sad to watch. Vietnam had their one minute of fame and camera time and are about to be in the shadows again. Vietnam picked the wrong opponents and played two wrong moves my friend. Trying to edge America out of ASEAN and take control was one and trying to control neighbouring countries nearer to you who happens to be close to China was another, so now you are sandwiched in between. Can't challenge at sea and worrying about your backyard :P

Unfortunately, Vietnam does not have the money and military to out muscle both China and America's influence in the region. Hence no one takes Vietnam too seriously and are cooperating with either America or China :P

Yes, and they should do for the sake of humanity. I won't joke on that.
Problem is how long will it take to clear up the mess and how much they are willing to actually spend. Not to mention Vietnam is already so far behind, that it is fantasy that they can be compared with America or China :coffee:

Heheh, we sunk lots of US warships already , so few more US warships will not be our matter, and Uncles Sam knew it, so his ships will flee as soon as our Kilos arrive in Malacca

Fortunately, we can borrow money from Japan-Russia , 9billion $ from Russia is enough to buy a good Insect Killer to kill those flies buzzing in Mekong river :P

we can't compare with US-China but an ASEAN solidarity will be big enough to counter your threats:P

That was when you had help from Russia and China. Now you will have none and America will answer you with nuke if you hit their carrier groups. Don't follow Japan's footsteps

They will not lend you any if they know that the money spent is only used against your powerful neighbours, meaning it's lost investment that cannot be returned. More specifically, both Russia and Japan's relationships with your neighbours are more stable and balanced. Neither would want to upset China and countries in the surrounding region

As I said earlier. America's return means no Vietnam leadership role and solidarity to act along Vietnam's line of interests.
China's ever expanding economy and military will have ever on going influence in the region which will also result in no ASEAN solidarity against China in the interests of Vietnam. Vietnam can offer neither finance or military support to it's surrounding neighbours and is living on loans and dependent on imports. Both China and America are top economies and both can make their own weapons :P

Russia still help us , and without China, we still can control Laos-Camb ,so try to be US general first before talking about a rematch with VN :P

Hehee, so try to be Russia-Japan bank manager and demand to get back 9 billions first ,dude :P

US fled tp Aussie already, can not say strong words with few tiny warships , it's not American's style :P

That's too much of an ask. Russians are very practical and penny pinching people, when they see the fight being lobsided against America and it's strong neighbour and political partner, they will leave you behind. It's simply not worth the time, risk and investment. The only chance you have of competing against China on equal ground is to move to America and join their army, just like your top secret favourite spy

Hehee, so try to be Russia-Japan bank manager and demand to get back 9 billions first ,dude :P

They will simply refuse to lend more and would rather cut their loses. Short pain is better than long pain :azn:

US fled tp Aussie already, can not say strong words with few tiny warships , it's not American's style :P

You cannot really say they have fled to Australia with 2500 men. It just means they have one more platform and one more place to influence as well as exert its influence in the region. ASEAN chairmanship is out of the question for Vietnam. No one is listening to Vietnam's cry on Spratly Island. They saw through the wolf in sheep clothing and are working with either America or China instead :coffee:
