Trump will realize how much contribution China has made to the US economy. Trump is a businessman not a crazy warmongering type like Obama-Clinton. He bashes China, Singapore or even perhaps Vietnam for stealing jobs but he knows the importance of China. It's indisputable , no doubt whatsoever that China is a major economic pillar the world is depending on. Every country is looking at China as the engine for pulling others out of their sluggish economic situation. It will be interesting to see how he will cooperate with Russia on the Syrian crisis and lessen military expansionism. US will only shoot itself in the foot if it keeps on challenging China's sovereignty.

Economics and the military are intertwined, you can't separate one from another. It will be interesting to see how this plays out, Trump wants to play nice with Russia but wants to act tough on China. The big reason why Russia and China gotten closer was because of the Washington neocons confrontational attitude towards both. But Trump is a blowhard who says one thing one day and another the next day. He's never held office in his life and is quite ignorant on geopolitics. That's why his VP choice was important, and Pence is a neocon who admires Cheney. I wouldn't be surprised if Pence becomes the decision maker when it comes to foreign policy which means the usual aggressive attitude towards China.

Many Chinese love to see Trump to be the next president, because they think Trump will screw up the US big time. But Many Chinese many not have paid enough attention to Trump's running mate, Mike Pence, the guy who will actually running the show for the next 4 years. Don't expect they go easy on China, and don't expect the "imminent USA retreat from Asia". Rough time ahead for China.

China should continue to play its own game, OBOR, and let the world to see who is doing the Building and who is doing the Bombing. Countries will come to their own conclusion.
