China Is Set To Make A Killing On The Afghan War

First the erstwhile Soviet Union got kicked out. Then it was the turn of the US of A to get the hell out of Afghanistan. And now the next to face the wrath of the Afghans seems to be China which is hell bent on exploiting Afghanistan's resources. They will meet the same fate. If the super powers couldn't hold their own against the Afghans (who hate outsiders exploiting them for their own ends), what chance does China have? Nix. Nada. Zilch!

Hasn't the Han dynasty learnt any lessons? :smokin: Will they ever will?

Same can be said for India its just a matter of time when you realize that investing Billions in A'stan for anti-Pak activities was a mistake now even if your intentions are clean we can't digest your presence in A'stan :D As far as security is concern its not a big deal just pay $$ to A'stan warlords they will protect you, this is how US/NATO secure their supplies and under "good talibans" i don't think it will be a big issue.

.
People have to make up their mind, really. On the one hand this bunch of people chant the China is doomed, China will hit the wall, Ghost towns, fake data etc. song, on the other hand the very same bunch of people chant the China is making a killing, China is a threat, China is harvesting on the back of "our" efforts song.

It's completely schizo.

Whether you can digest our presence or not, we care a damn!! :P

Just like US/NATO are paying Pakistan billions of $$$ for protection of their supply lines?? :P  You guys have been bought, plain and simple! Anything for those dollars, what?

hahahahaha now you want to blame the currently living Dutch for the actions of people who lived (many) generations ago? what point can that possibly serve, other than to derail the discussion about THE FUTURE?...

You remain wary of Chinese expansion i believe that's what you said. For a country that has had a couple of colonies reaching other sides of the world isn't exactly what i call a peaceful development. China's expansion is not exactly the same is it? If you want to be wary you should be looking at the West, how the French are now active in Mali and US sending loads of troops to Africa. If you have nothing to add to the discussion relating to the topic then don't try to derail the discussion. In case you have forgotten China was not the one invading Afghanistan and bombing the area into pieces with drones.

I believe China is about to make the same mistakes as the other empires on Earth have done; supporting abusive dictators to gain resources or influence. But by all means prove me wrong and then you'll have earned some praise.

And the US topples leaders if they don't listen. We have seen what had happened to Gaddafi. Trading is still better than having war, but if you think the West has a clean conscious for waging war against dictators without gaining something in return then you keep on dreaming. China's policy is not to interfere with internal matters.
