China will take over Taiwan without ever going to war. China will want full control of Taiwan’s foreign policy and military affairs. But Taiwan will be allowed to keep their own economic system and legal system. Something similar to the deal with Hong Kong.

If the CPC is stupid enough to invade Taiwan by force, the following will happen:
1. Mass casualties in the operation, leading to dramatic loss of support for the war among China's population
2. Hostilities between the US/allies and China, leading to US attacks on Chinese forces on Taiwan
3. As more Chinese ships are sunk and mainland military bases bombed, Chinese/Japanese/Indian forces will launch an operation to invade the mainland and liberate its people
4. Indian/US/allied jets will bomb Chinese mainland targets as the war shifts onto China itself
5. Lots of Chinese people will surrender to the liberating forces as more and more folks desert the PLA and CCP
6. If the Chinese government hasn't been overthrown by its people at this point, entire cities will be captured by US/Indian/allied forces
7. At the unconditional surrender in Beijing, the CCP will have to capitulate, agree to disband its military, destroy all factories & industrial sectors in China, and cede much of its land to foreign control
8. CCP leaders who started the war will be executed, and a new Chinese nation will form under joint US-Japanese-ROC-Indian control

Taiwan has islands like Wuqui and Kinmen that makes attack on it very difficult. Also it has enough missiles to lay waste to a lot of manufacturing centers of China. An attack on Taiwan will end in China victory but the cost will be very high.

Not agree with you. China invasion to Taiwan will destroy the island, that's alone would be considered as a loss to CCP. Not because they wanted the island technological, economical prowess, but because the support of the people, who now have more light in favor to the mainland.

That's why PRC will only attack Taiwan when the island declare it's independent (although I don't understand, what independent that they're declaring from. As Republic of China is actually an independent country); and will wait until a peaceful integration is happening.

For US for trying to invade China with their allies is the same as the end of this world. As it will trigger a nuclear war. Are you sure about that? It is better to sacrifice Taiwan than to trigger the world end scenario, isn't it? Although, China will suffer because the West will embargo them economically; which result as the fall of Chinese ambition to become the world power. As they will struggle like today Russia.
