IK is talking about what Chinese are developing. Chinese might be working on something similar to hyperloop or developing a new tech. Japanese are developing a train that can go more 800 km per hours.

Let's settle this once and for all.

I don't think IK was joking. But I'm quite sure he meant the speed of sound. And he'd be right. China (and other countries) have been working on trains that would reach and exceed the speed of sound.

I believe the day is not too far when we will have maglev, hyperloop (or some other technology) trains that will exceed 767mph or mach 1. A quick google search will return lots of news and article about this.
