@3Idiots @HongWu @Ayush

Does the following need to be drilled into all your heads again and again.

One :- Chinese and Indian patrols routinely travel to their respective claim lines, log pro forma complaints accusing each other of border violations — and life goes on quite peacefully.

Two :- Ever since the 1993 “Agreement on the Maintenance of Peace and Tranquillity along the Line of Actual Control”, and the 1996 “Agreement on Confidence-Building Measures in the Military Field along the Line of Actual Control” treaties have been signed there have been ZERO casualties on either side due to hostile fire or small arms exchanges.

So gentlemen can we please stop baying for blood, helicopter gun ships, tanks, artillery and sundry....and the name calling and the "dead pigs". It will be resolved as all such incidences are resolved. Chinese patrols don't fire at our patrols when we end up intruding and so neither will we in accordance with the treaties both nations have signed. We end up infiltrating across the LAC quite a few times our selves..the Chinese don't even mention it much less go to war over it. That's because both countries have learnt to handle the relations maturely.

oye yaar,i know that...but this tent needs to be destroyed...and a war with china isnot possible, until WW3 takes place, which is again highly unlikely...

So, India in strengthening laws against petty criminals (indviduals).

What is china doing -- strengthening laws against CPC? Is it -- if true, then show it.

CPC is the reason India is living in fear after 1962 and is 40 years behind China. They are doing an excellent job. No need to change a government doing its job in making China stronger.

i agree with you that India-China border is very calm but disagree about not buying weapons, our region need to be modernized and welll equipped, soon or later west will turn against Asia fully because they will be no longer able to dominate the world which will hurt their ego and will try any means to dominate over us.

No tents will be destroyed..the commanders on the ground will log their respective protests and then both parties will disengage and head back..this thing happens AGAIN and then AGAIN..Why do you think both sides agreed to not shadowing each other's patrols? Because often times Indian patrols end up in Tibet, quite a few times intentionally- how would we react if someone came in "destroyed" their tents..we've maintained effective peace across the LAC. The Chinese never complain about our infiltration- but our media keeps baying for their blood every time one is made by them.

Both nations have their respective concerns and narratives but we know how to handle these things without having a shootout every month. When was the last time we sent in a hepter to accost them or they rolled in a tank to accost us?

CPC is the reason chinese are living in fear .. why for all things in the world should Indians live in fear of CPC !!!

We shot dead 722 chinese (and 1697 injured) in 1962. And that was before the rest unilaterally ran back.

Send more, we shoot more.

Off course, dying of pollution and CPC atrocities (if they stay) or from Indian bullets (if they run from china) is a hard choice for PLA soldiers.

When did I say not buy weapons..We've sanctioned four new divisions, with some 80,000 soldiers, to reinforce the seven divisions that already defend the north-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim. Simultaneously, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has beefed up the Tezpur and Chhabua air bases with capable Sukhoi-30MKI fighters. The IAF is upgrading five more air bases and a string of advanced landing grounds (called ALGs) that will allow big helicopters, light fixed-wing aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, or drones) to operate along the border. Six squadrons of the indigenous Akash anti-aircraft missile system will soon guard India’s vulnerable air space along the Eastern Himalayas. Ground troops remain short of artillery fire support, but batteries of the indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher have been sent to the Northeast. And now comes the news (reported in this newspaper yesterday) that two armoured brigades, with more than 500 T-90 tanks and BMP-IIs will be deployed to the LAC for the first time. One of these will be stationed in Ladakh, while the other will operate in the Northeast.

The Chinese on the other hand have, given their military deployment in Tibet and Xinjiang, and its expanding road and rail infrastructure that already allows it to concentrate seven to nine divisions within a fortnight for an offensive against a chosen point in the eastern sector of the LAC. The goal of 9 divisions for China will be fully established by 2016. That doesn't mean we are going to war. Two sovereign nations have the right to defend themselves.
@HongWu and @Chinese-Dragon can provide more info on the PLA ORBAT. Other than that pick up a map..no one is driving tanks in and out of Xizang anytime soon..unless tanks start flying.

@ALL and whats with the abortion thing and what not about the bird-flu..if you want to abuse Chinese posters just find something better....Their population control policies or the outbreak of a disease...which btw happens in India too..is not something you use to beat someone else with.

Not really.

We came, we saw, we embarrassed the Indian military.

You had the chance to back up your talk, but failed. No point thumping your chest now kid.

Why would we want to change a government that is making China stronger and more influential globally?

Perhaps you could share the wisdom you gained from your experiences in Kargil.

Aksai Chin was illegally intruded in 1959, not today. As Dillinger pointed out mechanisms are in place to solve, given a treaty of not firing because perceptions of LAC differ.

Ladakh was never a part of Tibet, leave alone china.

If we can wait out for P O K and solve it peacefully (eventually), same thing exists for Aksai chin also. In interest of peace, we talk.

However, if desire of peace is mistaken for weakness, you get a Kargil experience in return.. as Pakistan eventually realized. China too exited back to pre-war positions in 1962.

What's being discussed and solved by talks are intrusions of 1959 (into Aksai chin), for nothing changed in 1962.

I don't think Indian live in fear and it is because an attack we launched 50 years ago, that is our media's joking. But the last half of your comment I totally agree.

I don't understand, are they camped Indian side of ladakh or in Chinese territory? someone please answer

How were we embarassed.. 80k chinese fighting 10k Indians and eventually, every single chinese died, wounded or ran back to pre-war position. Chinese are just deluded by a "self-proclaimed victory".. India declined the ceasefire offer.

End-result: chinese go back. Status-quo-Ante.

If PLA has has had any victory, so far in all its existence, it can only count one: Yes, it did won the battle of Tiananmen Square. PLA won that war, but china lost it.
