Haha, old memories...LOL,“面的”!
Through decades of laying the foundation, China really took off in the 2000s,
Deng Xiaoping's reform and opening-up policy is most widely regarded as the direct reason for the later economic growth, but a comprehensive industry, especially the heavy industry, built up during Mao's ara is also critical, other factors including emancipating people's thoughts ( free of hierarchy, advocacy of science, hard-work and ethics, gender equality, etc) which were promoted started from Mao's ara are also important. In your opinion, what were the foundations laid by China for the explosive growth in the 2000s,
And which aspects were the most important?

Giving vibes of current Lahore city, although Lahore is very congested as compared to this.China In the streets of Beijing 1995, I think I can still recognize some places from this video
Because Chinese like me think that the foundation that Chairman Mao laid is more important than what Deng Xiaoping did.I have read a biography of Deng Xiaoping, and few other writings.
I was led to believe that infrastructure matters were more important, like roads, physical infrastructure, development of SEZ model etc.
But in your view other aspects played a greater role.
Interesting.
