China imports crude oil, refine them and exports as various types of refined oil products, how come this a news? In fact like most industrial capacities, Sinopec and PetroChina are both world's largest refiners (while Aramco of KSA is the largest explorer), it's almost common sense.

That is how a typical Business works.

Nations are thinking, planning businesses, and earning profits from trade. We are even unable to grasp the idea of how they are doing business. We did not have businessmen/planners but business mafias/brokers with a tendency to monopolization only for themselves and their generations and not a penny for others involved.
China pulls most of its population above the poverty line by such strategies. In Pakistan, just a few families are minting the money and pushing the maximum population below the poverty line.
