It seems that some Indians only care about China's negative news, so did India's media such as TOI.
They will only talk about China collapse, but don't know how worse about their own situation .

Yes,China's industry output growth is slowing, but we still have 11.4%.

But when we have a look at shining India, we only see 1.8%.

Manufacturing growth is slowing relative to the same month from last year, but the growth rate is still high at 11.4%.

It is quite funny that Indians with 1.8% manufacturing growth, are starting threads to laugh at China.

Yes it is, we are not into 1$ produccts like you, ur loss of manufacturing can be taken up by for eg Vietnam or Phil or BD but not by us cos of the higher cost of manufacturing in India. We cannot compete with u on price for obvious reasons.

for eg china can manufacture and ship a cigerette lighter for Rs.5 - thats 10 for a dollar. I reworked the cost of manufacture here in India and the best price I got was Rs.20.

A garbageman in China makes far more than most Indians. I can post the same article about how scrap pickers in Shanghai make 6 times more money, have more equipment, more training, more automation, more rest time and more benefits than the unprotected, illiterate workers in India if you want.

And guess what: Vietnam shares the same weakness as India. Lack of world class infrastructure. Except it doesnt share other weaknesses like chronic malnutrition, 4 years of average schooling, very low life expectancy, only 50% electrification and being forced to buy water from water trucks.

Chinese love to use the free world's free press to share links but in their own country, stats are fudged , news is blocked ( SARS, saying 10k people died when 100k died in the earthquake etc etc) - Their forced labor camps are well know but their media does not write about them for us to share links here.
