While China is pursuing its 'One China Policy', it is doing so with minimum possible aggressiveness, which is commendable - given the power China wields now.

To be honest, Indians need to understand that it is not necessary for China to support 'an ally state' in every blunder it commits. China wants North Korea to shun confrontationist approach. Pakistan's only permanent security net is an economic growth.

Right now, the military strength gap between India and Pakistan is widening because of Indian economic growth that enables India to shop latest advanced weapons around the world, and an alliance with China will not fix this fundamental problem of Pakistan not being able to keep up with Indian arms build up, only Pakistan's economic growth will.

And to grow economy, Pakistan must be pro-West and pro-Japan/Korea, not pro-China.
