Even going by your dodgy source, China's Tsinghua ranked at 12, yours came in at 36. Doesn't it prove what we've been saying all along here that Chinese university are better than your IITs?

Big or small budget, research is the bread and butter of any worthy Phd/professor. If you don't do research, you're just a teacher.

CAS is CAS, research publication has no national boundaries. Entry to academic journal is based on merit. Someone just posted Nature chart on article publication.
