China built up a new village in Doklam, Yadong County. The new village, Pangda, will become the home of 27households / 100 people, who used to be living in the high altitude areas in Yadong.

Construction of the Pangda Village was started in Dec. 2019, and completed in May 2020, with a 2.5-month pause in between due to Covid. The buildings in Pangda are using the steel frame structure, supplied by Baosteel.

The Pangda village project is financed by Shanghai.

What a good life

With two story nice house, and all the beautiful nature view. Amazing ! China need to build thousands of small towns like this in the frontier border as Civil-Economic Defence.

There are actually two new villages planned in Doklam. Pangda is the No.1 point; the No. 2 point (name unclear yet) is said to be completed in August 2020, but I don't have the pictures yet.

The news from Baosteel, which mentions the No.2 point planned to be finished in August 2020.

根据上海市和西藏自治区关于亚东边境小康示范村项目复工的统一部署，2月27日上午7时, 宝钢建筑项目管理团队邓坦坦、魏勇、徐永恒、高英伦等人随同上海市和中国宝武援藏干部以及上海建工管理人员乘坐包机直飞日喀则，另外30名工人将于29日乘坐火车从成都进入日喀则。所有人员到藏后，将根据日喀则市委和亚东县委的统一安排，完成14天的集中隔离。亚东工程将于3月15日开始全面复工。

春节前，宝钢建筑保质保量按照计划完成地上部分建设节点目标，项目的精心组织实施赢得上海市、西藏自治区、日喀则市和亚东县等相关方领导的高度肯定和赞赏。

虽然建设项目工期受春节前恶劣天气和此次疫情影响约2个月，但宝钢建筑坚决从构建国家安全屏障、坚决维护国家利益的高度出发，同时严格落实疫情防控要求，从施工人员、物资材料准备、运输组织、施工计划、防疫措施和应急预案等六个方面制定了详细周密的复工计划。项目团队将敢于担当、善于担当，紧盯目标任务、挂图作战，全力以赴推动边境小康村建设，确保按照原计划8月底实现二号点的全面建设任务。

Its altitude is about 2,050 meter, i.e. not a high altitude area. Looking at the forest around, we can also get the feeling that this is not a very cold place.

The news mentions that there are heat-keeping materials in the wall. But I don't know exactly its heating system is.

I sometimes go to my house that lies outside the city at a higher altitude. The temperature is much lower when I arrive. Rule of thump, it sinks 1 Celsius by every 100m. By 2,000m the temperature difference can be 20 C. I have central heating.
