Chinese engineers are testing techniques that could be used to build a 1,000km tunnel – the world’s longest – to carry water from Tibet to Xinjiang, experts involved in the project say.

Eventually we will divert water from Tibet to Xinjiang for sure. Here a good example from last year video on how China divert water to into inner Mongolia desert, people are very excited. If China can turn Tarim Basin into a giant lake, not only we will revive the forest but attract tourist from Central Asian countries and Russia, it will make a very nice inland beach, Xinjian shall become a wonder land.
