Iran has a plan for the region and it culminates with hegemony over Arab Peninsula. It has a historical background. They have at last time and resources at their back. The future looks good. They can pick and chose allies. Analyzing the overall picture I think Iran will play Pakistan between India and China. The prospects of good meaningful relations seem very low, Transactional relationship at most.
