LOOOL Since when does India has as objective Countering the E.U/U.S/west? lool I know China and Russia do have divergent interests with the West/U.S/ , but India as well? lool Nope, India doesnt see things like China and Russia do, Reason India still doesnt have a well defined foreign policy or its 'non aligned'(though i understand this stand, since its still relatively weak/not powerful/influential enough, therefore it needs all the help/tech it can get from foreign powers) . Also,India doesnt have much common interests with Russia and China, Meanwhile i might even argue we have much more common interests with India than India does with the other BRICS members. lol
As for China backing India seat in UNSC, hmmmmmm............i dont know if members here even take time to study this issue well enough. India wants to get into a permanent UNSC seat with Brazil, Japan and Gwermany, as we all know China has already publicly said it will NEVER allow Japan to get a UNSC permanent seat, So any Indian entry is also indirectly is null and void as well, since India is pitching for an entry as a block with Japan and the other members together.lol So if India is really keen to join, India will need to abandon the other members(mostly Japan) and go it alone(yes some might call it selfishness, but then again in this world/politics, its every country for itself.
). To be honest though, No P5 country will ever want/agree to take Practical steps to reform/revise the permanent seat members, since it will dilute their own influence. So any talk of backing India, Brazil, Japan etc for a permanent seat is just 'talk', more like a sham to score political points/favor/deals, not going to happen anytime soon.
The bold part is the the only part i agree with you. As for India having the highest chance, hmmmmmm.......i will say its Germany and Maybe even Japan(only China is their hindrance here), since boith countries have much more influence/world trade, economic weight etc than India. In fact, to be honest, India doesnt lead these two countries in anything.fg
