Half work done... half to go!

What an amazing achievement has this been... this 'half work'!!!!

Now is the time to go to the day when inception of Modern China took place... if you travel from that moment to today... only then can the true depth and breadth of this Chinese Miracle can be appreciated.

There have been a lot of scrafices, suffering and ups-and-downs... but the Chinese people have never given up or complained or lost hope...

And now the world marvels 'half work' as the Chinese Miracle.

For me the biggest achievenment is bringing people out of poverty on a scale that has never happened in human history!!! Something to reflect upon.

Well done Chinese People on your way to becoming China once again.

Celeberate with full hearts... and after celeberation, in truly Chinese style, the work starts all over again.

The day China becomes fully developed country is the Day of Great Celeberation!

Yeah... I could remember tales from my mother of how she still experienced the afterbirth effects of the cultural revolution when she was young (born late 60's). She told me that the grandparents and her siblings were eating the skin and bran of rice plants, made into a porridge, because there was nothing else. This was for a good few years when she was a toddler, before things improved during the 70's.

How far the Chinese nation has come from this state of mass starvation and poverty, to its current state in some 6-7 decades, is nothing short of a miracle.

But I think there is also something beautiful in this tragedy: the fact that we made it this far, should make every Chinese patriot cherish of what our (grand)parents have built up in this country. We can count ourselves blessed not to have experienced the horrors they have, so it is our task and responsibility to continue this work, even if it's just not to dissapoint their legacies (and not to repeat the same mistakes of pre-1911, the Civil War, Great Leap, or Cultural Revolution for ourselves).

Let this be clear to those who might not be so acquainted with the backstory:

This isn't China at 68; the nation as a national construct has been around since the Qin dynasty. This is the Chinese communist regime, which has blatantly whitewashed its bloody rise to power and subsequent atrocities against humankind, at 68.

Now, it seems that the CCP regime is attempting to hijack the legitimacy of the Chinese nation by trumpeting itself as a representative of "China". The day that the CCP is overthrown and its leaders jailed would be the day that the nation can get rid of the Oct 1st "national day" and the farce that it has become.

Every major nation in the world recognizes the CPC as the official representative of China, and the PRC as China. This has been the case since before most of the members on this forum were even born.

China's National Day holiday starts with rising tourism revenue
(Xinhua) 09:31, October 02, 2017

Tourism income in China rose 12.2 percent year on year on Sunday, the first day of the country's National Day holiday, China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) said.

Total tourism revenue hit 96.5 billion yuan (14.5 billion U.S. dollars), according to the CNTA.

The country's major tourist destinations received a total of 113 million visitors on Sunday, up 10.5 percent year on year.

No major safety accident happened during the day, it said.

Data from travel agencies showed that over 110,000 people traveled overseas in groups. Popular destinations include Russia, Australia and the United States.

The data also showed that outbound self-driving tours more than doubled the orders during the first day of the National Day holiday.

China's major tourist destinations are expected to receive a total of 589 million visitors during the holiday, up 12 percent from last year. Tourism income should rise 13.5 percent to 478 billion yuan during the period, according to a survey by China Tourism Academy and Ctrip, an online travel agent.

The National Day holiday is one of China's two "Golden Weeks," during which passenger flow, tourism revenue and retail sales usually surge.
