oh but Vietnam belong to china from zhaochi, and name as dai viet and nam viet now called Vietnam. Why you don't give back Vietnam to china?

It is your greedy and stupid politicians who think that Vietnam can steal SCS from China and blockade China southward. The short independence since 1975 drove Vietnamese mad. Unfortunately Vietnam will lose SCS completely and start to pay tribute to China or USA. Without external support, you just do not have enough resources and market to get industrialized. You are not the third most powerful countries as claimed by your politicians. French could unify IndoChina; You will never.

If Vietnam or North Korea want its people to have good living, they have to pay tribute to a true strong power. Even Japan and Germany has to accept this fate.

German started two wars to avoid this fate, both failed. Only when they accepted Pan America, Germany can get a good development.

Even British, once a great empire occupying 1/4 land of this planet, has accepted Pan-America. Vietnam and North Korea think that they can challenge this system, then forget about developments.

The tragedy for Vietnam is you are too far from Haven and too close to China. If Vietnam wants to be a country with prosperity, it just has to come to term with China at some point of time. There is no way out. Sorry, my friend, I feel for you!

Is China considering bringing along children and families to that island? I do not think any neighboring nations would attack that island if Chinese children and families are partially settling on that island.

I dont think the other nations dare to attack this military base if they wanna give china another reason to take on more island!

Beijingwalker is right. The islands are literally built FROM NOTHING. That's why the Chinese members are so excited to see the islands be emerged in such a short period of time.

So you say China's engineering has not yet on par with that of Vietnam? If that's the case, I would not mind learning the knowledge and know-how from one of the best. China always likes to learn from historical neighbors.
