It feels good to know what I had said for last 10 years becames true, Arabs are no Muslim friends and their friendship will knock you down and then give you a hand to lift you up only to push you back down. No Arab friendship is the biggest gift of PTI to Pakistan.

Any alliance built on the basis of race, religion or caste/tribe instead of national interest is weak and would dissolve soon.

People wonder why BD is growing faster than Pakistan...reason they were not Iron friend of Saudia and UAE, so when they got up on their feet there were no Arab to knock them down in a friend's disguise.

no we gave too much free hand to Saudis, UAE and US as our "Friends", and they started meddling way too much inside Pakistan, politics, religious organization, NGOs and media. By the way ours was not due to national interest but free money for our corrupts. National interest is whats dictating these relationships now.

Nothing is more important than national interests however many Pakistanis are too naïve to see this. The reason behind the strong alliance b/w Pakistan and China is that it is national Interest based.

I haven't seen any friend who always come to your help and assistance you financially. I mean in real life, very few friends help. China is more than a friend and Pak should align with China and not with Americans. Russia is not pleased with growing American Indian relations. They are also with china. Pakistan and China's path forwards is a shared path with shared interests. This ground reality has carved a natural alliance that is unshakeable. Indians think driving a wedge between Pakistan and Arabs is counterproductive for Pakistan - I think it's the best thing that could possibly happen for Pakistan. We should deal with Arabs on a transactional basis and nothing more. We should certainly be neutral and cordial towards them - they are no more or less important than, say, Uzbekistan. This is a great gift from Hindustan to Pakistan, if they truly are responsible for this shift.

As the old adage goes - be careful what you wish for.

It was Trump who stepped in, and even if UAE and Saudia did as well, wasn't that the right thing to do to diffuse tensions ? The Geneva conventions have stuff on downed pilots/pows that would have required Pak to release him. These guys expedited the process a bit maybe.

What will you do when relations completely collapse between you two ? Don't speak like a kid.

Relations will never truly collapse owing to the deen but they may sour further at the state level. Pakistan's Kashmir centric myopic world view has cost it it's dearest friend and backer. You owe them big time for financing your nuclear program. This is overall not a positive development for Pakistan in the great game.
