US Says China Tested Anti-Satellite Missile

US Says China Tested Anti-Satellite Missile - ABC News

The U.S. says China has tested a missile designed to destroy satellites and is urging Beijing to refrain from destabilizing actions.

State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the "non-destructive" test occurred Wednesday. She said a previous destructive test of the system in 2007 created thousands of pieces of dangerous debris in space.

Harf said Friday that the continued development and testing of destructive anti-satellite systems threaten the long-term security and sustainability of the outer-space environment that all nations depend upon.

China's state-run Xinhua (shihn-wah) news agency, citing a Defense Ministry statement, reported a successful missile interception test conducted from land within Chinese territory late Wednesday.

Xinhua did not refer to it as an anti-satellite system. It said such tests could strengthen Chinese air defense against ballistic missiles.

The Yankee regime wants to spread propaganda about this test as an anti-satellite test to deter China from doing further tests and get other countries to complain about the test.

If it was up to me, I would do more mid-course missile defence tests just to piss off the Yankees and even shoot down a High-Earth Orbit satellite using the DN-2 missile.

Yep, we are currently ahead in the Star Wars game. :coffee:

:lol::lol: There is American's Asia Pivot and there is also China's space pivot
Personally, I think space should remain a demilitarized zone. Getting space involved in any way to warfare could have devastating effects on the globe.

No matter what we said here, I think Chinese space command is well aware of American's space activities better than us, we all know that we have not match of American's sea, land & air power and also they're patching anti-missile shield around us but if we can keep up with American's space force than we will have some strategical bargain: Americans know that their precious space toys are life line of their economy and military brain cells, they're certainly very sensitive to what Chinese space development.

We are currently no match against their naval power, but in our home turf we are unbeatable.

Are you willing to see our Cities got bombarded by US naval tomahawk and Naval Aviation while we couldn't do the same to them even at the hypothetically we're unbeatable at home? It's certain not acceptable for me, if we want to engage American, we have make sure their homeland is also within our reach.

That's why we are developing the HGV in response of this.

The US will probably deliberately avoid the nuclear MAD with China, but using the superior conventional power to damage our coastal cities since the military conflict will definitely occur close to our eastern coast.

Since HGV can also carry the conventional warheads to perform a global strike within an hour, this should make the US to take account even at launching a conventional warfare against China.

Key word to US milirary---> Parity

China announced it did a anti-missile test.

Then US state department insist on calling it anti-satellite test and start to utter holier than thou cheap shot criticism at China.

According to analysis from China web, the interception occurred at high atmospheric attitude, how could an interception that did not even occurred in space be characterized as anti-satellite test? Surely the american would know that? Unless the missile did not follow ballistic trajectory?

in the atmosphere the anti missile KKV requires " surface smooth", and small solid rocket is applicable here, it is more difficult than antisatellite which happens out of atmosphere.

it is high secret what kind of KKV used to anti missile in the atmosphere?
