So you are going to deny us the Filipino people to defend ourselves by destroying our ill-equipped Navy and kill PH navy servicemen, then try to "persuade" us to accept your rule?!
Also, I don't believe that your PLA will separate civilians from military.
It's always fun to watch a bunch of people have absolutely no real life experience to talk about war. As if it is that easy to "Flatten", "Annihilate" or "Destroy" another navy completely. One of them (Actually the dude that talk about it) is supposedly identify himself as a former JMSDF officer no less, I don't really know what Japanese taught in their Officer academy, but lol....I am quite speechless.
The question, can China win a war with Philippine? Of course they can, why not, but at what price?
The term "Deterrence" is used when you have a overwhelming power to another country, yet you have to show restraint on it because by attacking it, you may win the Strategically and/or Tactical objective, but will lose the operational objective.
For those who don't speak military, it basically means by attacking, you can probably win every battle and even the war with it, but you will have lost control of the operational requirement to maintain your grand strategically aims. That's either means you will not have resource, manpower, material, economy or all of the above to carry on with your overall strategic goal. Which for China, is to challenge or resist the US influence.
The key is, while China can undoubtedly destroy any or even all of Philippine Naval asset in the end, but would China suffer losses too? The answer is not if they would, but how many they would lose. And the more important question is that, how many the Chinese willing to lose.
Unless Philippine have no ability to fight back at all, otherwise there will always be casualty on the Chinese side, if history taught us well, then we can take it from the Falkland war that the Chinese are looking at 10-15% casualty (Where Britain lost 2 destroyer and a frigate as well as a few smaller support ship).
Now, the million dollar question is, how many Chinese Sailor and ship can PLAN afford to lose in a struggle with the US for control in South China Seas? If I have to say, the answer is nil, as China would need every bit of her military might to resist the American, any lost to Philippine would not be acceptable for China. And you know what? As each day pass, the Chinese military might would increase, but more importantly, so does the Philippine, the price is always going to be higher if China wait any longer.
Strange that someone don't really know the concept of deterrence
