How bad is corruption in China? Don’t ask.

That’s the answer Transparency International says it got from Chinese market research firms as it conducted a survey on the topic.

“We approached a number of different local survey companies, but they did not feel that it would be possible to implement a survey of this nature in China without omitting many of the questions,” a spokeswoman for the Berlin-based group said in an email response to questions.

On Tuesday, Transparency International published a report it had been touting in recent weeks as the “biggest-ever public opinion survey on corruption.”

Yet despite the breadth of its research – 114,000 people surveyed in 107 countries – Transparency International doesn’t mention China once in its 48-page Global Corruption Barometer 2013. A pull-down tab of country reports on the organization’s website skips from Chile to Colombia.

“It’s true that China is clearly the main omission in terms of the survey’s country coverage, but we still firmly believe the Global Corruption Barometer’s overall messages and results are globally relevant,” the spokeswoman said. “Every time we do this research we seek to find ways to include China, but it remains a huge challenge.”

According to Confucius, people will steal if they are poor and treated unfair in the social-economy.

China will still have a corruption problem until it finally became a high income country, where the government officials finally paid well. People basically are feel shame of doing bad, including corruption. Government officials don't want to steal if they are treated fair.

Mainland officials did a lot of great things to the country. Their job is very importance to the society and country, it's not an easy job and very demanding from the people pressure side. They should equally well rewarded.

Singapore solved the corruption problem by giving government official a high paid, as high as high-ranking corporate workers.

The regime in India is the most corrupt in the world. Corruption scandals rarely ever pop up in India because as I said corruption is part and parcel of Indian society. I mean its so corrupt that an Italian woman is ruling over them because she married into the right family

For people that defecates, lives in slums and generally dirty people in hygiene and behaviour, why would they care about corruption?

This is why we look down on Indians.

When they learn to behave like civilized people, then they have a chance to earn our respect.
