Child suicide bombers!

I'm glad you didnt watch the video. It shows a child blowing himself up.
Its upsetting to see how Taliban now uses kids for such suicide missions as they 're easy to manipulate.
How is this manipulation?
Their religion allows them to do this, they are simply following their religion.

I don't see the problem here? Who are we to judge.

Ghani sab said something profound in his interview with an Indian channel recently.

He said we have been victims of our nationalism -- he mentioned the usual International politics but in there he slid nationalism.

The political machinations of Afghan and Pakistani political elites bear the bulk of the blame for what these children are going through.

I can give dozens of links about Islamic scholars(globally)- including those from the birthplace of Islam -the real Muslims (arabs)- Saudi Arabia, saying it is okay or even good/sunnah to kill kafirs.

What is your point here?
My point is that I wont take misguided and ill informed scholars seriously.

I think US should support more to Pakistan by selling them under Aid:
30-50 Super Cobras
50+ Bell-412
30+ P-3Cs as they are good bombers and Recon aircraft
used F-16s

I would blame the leadership or lack of it... beside lack of democracy (for far too long) in pakistan... among other reasons... people become extremists if you dont include/give a stake them in democratic framework.
What do you think would happen if extremists hindus were kept out of electoral process / had no faith in it.

mmm well you make good points but you do know that the Nazis came to power through the ballot box.

What happened under Modi in Gujrat is not India's finest hour and the fact that Modi jee became PM in a liberal democracy is almost unthinkable.

So I do agree you make points but democracy by itself is not a panacea

Why should the US Taxpayer subsidize Pakistani arms purchases. Why don't the rich Pakistanis pay taxes and buy these things are market prices or still better invest in hospitals and schools

First of all if the whole country moves to right wing nazism, then something profoundly wrong which should have smelled bad long earlier. India experience(and in UK too) shows its best to allow such people operate overground and be part of process. The democratic process has moderating effort on the most extremes because we are heterogeneous country, you cant capture power by having narrow vision... even if you do you wont last long.
I think same about left wing extremism, we avoided most of it because we allowed left to capture power in democratic way(during soviet times) thereby avoiding lot of pain. Nepal had to go through full blow insurgency.

I agree with most of what you are saying.

But there are strong exceptions to the rule - Yes I think electing Modi as PM has moderated him - but the larger questions is how on earth did a Hindu fanatic get elected in such a diverse country.

I guess the point I forgot to make is that bad things happen when humanity gets stripped from a culture.
