Absolutely.

I mean Pakistan ne Itna khane Ko diya that you got fat and now look at your loyalties. No Sharam o Haya.

And interesting fact is, his dad was in PAF and served in 65 and was awarded "Sitara e Jurat" and now this dude received "tamgha e baighairti"
Was not aware of that.kudos

.
@Kaptaan interesting point of view. What would you do if your country of choice/residence has a bad rap in the country of your heritage?

.
Why would we care what these harlots and pimps say about us, they want to be with india fine be it that way, now we have less filth to take care of,
those overpaid prostitutes and escorts who go to bloody india to dance in skimpy dresses in the name of tradition should have their nationalities rescinded. Salay namak haram, :butcher::pakistan::sniper:
Agreed.

@django This raises very interesting point. I owe everything to Britain. My education, the opportunities it offered me and I am grateful for that. I could never do anything against UK. In fact I would if asked for this country as I feel I am obligated to it.

So where does Pakistan fit in? It has given me nothing. Zero. However my famiies rots are there. There are generations of my ancestors who worked on piece of land today called Pakistan. That carries enormous weight on me. It is my heritage, genetic and historical. I cannot and will not efface it come what me. If Pakistan changed name tomorrow to Industan my feelings would remain the same. I am least concerned with the latest political iteration. But I will stand by whatever that piece of earth that carries the heritage of my ancestors is called.

And should Britain distrust me? No. Because UK has no issue with Pakistan. If anything if I could change my spots so easily and forget my heritage I would be worth nothing because I could change again when the next higher bidder comes along. This guy is nothing but low down dirt who would sell his mother for few extra rupees. Good riddance.
Sound post.Kudos

So what happens if you're in a world where the UK begins to have issues with Pakistan, theoretically?

If you support the UK over Pakistan, then perhaps you may have more sympathy for Sami.

If you support Pakistan over the UK, even then perhaps you may have more sympathy for Sami.

You can't avoid the question by saying it is all theory, mind. That's only giving yourself a space to foster theoretical righteousness.

If UK and Pakistan get into a skirmish where would your loyalties lie?
I don't think this would ever happen but if UK/Pakistan went hostile and possibility of conflict arose - then there is no way I could possibly continue living in UK. It would be wrong on me. It would be wrong to the country I live in. Frankly I would not pick up a gun against UK either. So it would be "abstain" for me and I would have to move to a neutral third country - I am pretty confident some country would give me refuge - hell maybe even India?

And rest assured religion would not in any way inform my decision. If my ancestors were from say Bhopal, India then I would feel exactly the same toward India even as a Muslim. I could not and would not sever that link with my heritage. Not saying change is not possible. Over many generations the residual link withers to point of extinction but that is a natural process. I don't think it can be ruptured in one or two generations what may have been a heritage going back many, many generations. If a person does that I think that person could easily again dump his new nation. Easy come, easy go.

you have my respect.

No "muslims are the holiest". No "All western nations are satan" bs that passes here for many "think tanks" and "elites".

I am sure you have heard of "abstain". You do that when you can't hurt or discriminate between two parties. If your two brothers started fighting you would try to stop them but if you could not then you would not take sides with either.

It's very simple really.

Is he committing treason? Because treason is punishable by death in any sensible law. I heard he changed his nationality a few months back.
