Cheapest cars in Pakistan/India/Bangla/China

the specification list of Tata Nexon. I highlighted some very basic elements that are surprisingly missing. That's really a big shock considering that this car is priced at USD 9.2k

For comparison, our CRV sized SUV Great Wall Haval M6 base model sold at 66600 CNY or 9400USD:

Note: indian definition of Compact car/SUV is equivalent to our Sub compact car/SUV

The engine is a little bit old, but consider the price...

how could Tata offers drum brake to its customers???
Think of drum brakes being South Asian version of population control. Instead of limiting number of babies you can have [China] in South Asia we use drum brakes. As we bury the dead from the roads we say "Allahs will".

Post birth contraception ....

A open road, a good car is my idea of heaven. It's freedom ...
then you should come to China. China has the world longest expressway network (160,000 km in length), from plain in the east, to the plateau in the west, connected by countless bridges and tunnels. Also with an ample supply of good cars at reasonable price.

Hahaha. Recently you've been on fire! Totally agree about vehicle safety and our attitude to it.

You should ignore the lowest trim specifications in India because it's just for quoting a low price on advertisements by removing all features. The lowest trim is usually not available at any dealer.

Anyway, cheap cars in India:
  • Nano GenX, a great city car by the end of its production, more expensive than the old 1Lakh. A darling to the newer owners. Now out.
  • Alto 800 & Alto K10
  • S-Presso
  • Kwid
  • Go & Redi-Go
  • Eeco, successor to Omni.
A bit above:
  • Tiago
  • Celerio
  • Triber, special mention for space innovation.
  • Wagon-R
  • Santro
  • KUV100

OMG Bangladesh is at 114 and just produce less then 3000 Cars per year even below Nepal:ashamed:

1. China 23.7 million
5. India 3.3 million
38. Pakistan 0.217 million
87. Srilanka 10,981
96. Nepal 6,759
114. Bangladesh 2,750
This is for the passenger cars. If commercial vehicles like trucks and buses, etc. are included, China's number is close to 30 million.
And yes, this is why I think Pakistan is doing well, much much better than Bangladesh.
