I am an American friend of Pakistan. Not IK or NS. NS fukks up in delivering, I'd be the first one to tear his bullshiit apart on ths very forum, you can count on it. Usually getting a ticket is easy if you have volunteered for community work in past. She can contest election as a local councillor with hope of standing for MP election from one of the Pakistani dominated areas in future... Chaudhry Sarwar and some other Pakistani origin politicians has stronghold in Glasgow and West Yorkshire... Ideal place for her contest election as MP.

Even her previous homeland, Birmingham suits is heavily dominated by Pakistani community but can't say about the potential of vote bank.

Whilst it is true that entering British politics is easier I wonder how the divorce from IK will impact her popularity within the British Pakistani community. IK is an immensely popular there and has a large fan base not only amongst regular British Pakistanis but also amongst the Pakistani business/elite class (of which sarvar is a member ofc). The masses however are still rather conservative and don't look lightly upon divorce, which like back home tends to be blamed on the inability of the woman to please her husband. Can such a woman be expected to garner the favour of the masses of bradfordistan or sparkhill, given that she gained a divorce from the one and only great IK?

As a wife of IK she was under the shadow of a great man. Now that she's on her own, has the opportunity to show her inner talent and excel in politics.

I believe one who shares bed with you isn't less than you. Even if you separated reality remained that you were of same caliber. Jamaima and Reham will keep their distinctive position. Only that after divorce they'll show their own self to the world.

In UK, she will win election based on her commitment, dedication, vision and the speeches she delivers at various gatherings. Her personal life would hardly matter to anybody but a segment of few British Pakistanis. Imran Khan is probably the most popular Pakistani leader in UK so yeah his shadow would always give her popularity in both negative and positive way.
