At least 200 Pakistanis are languishing in Riyadh jail currently.

Stranded Pakistani nationals said the Saudi embassy had completed its paper work within a day, and now the matter was persistently lingering on due to government’s cold shoulder to them.

They also appealed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take notice of the situation and provide them assistance.

However, the PM had already directed the Foreign Office to offer all-out help to the stranded Pakistani workers in Riyadh, but seemingly his orders, as victims believe, fell on deaf ears.

CEO ARY Digital Network Mr. Salman Iqbal also urged prominent social worker Ansar Burney to make arrangements for return of the stranded Pakistanis.

The news of several overseas workers plight in Saudi Arabia surfaced in August last when it transpired that thousands of jobless Pakistani, Indians, Bengali and Filipinos were stranded and destitute in Saudi Arabia after the plunge in oil prices sparked construction layoffs.

Pakistan Foreign Ministry, had said in its statement, that 8,520 of its nationals in Saudi Arabia had not been receiving their salaries for several months.

Their statement said that “most of the workers want to leave these companies but only after settling their dues”.

The Pakistan embassy had reportedly set up special centres and a fund to provide aid, food, medicine and shelter.

“The (Pakistani) embassy has further informed that Saudi King has issued a decree for urgent payment of dues to workers by the concerned companies,” the office of the prime minister said.

“We stand by our hardworking workers who are away from their homeland to earn a living for their families. They are our strength and pride. We will help them out in all possible ways,” Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had earlier said in a statement.

Ganja Shareef does nothing, and now after the Army, ARY CEO is running matters of the country.

Gunda league should go and fucking kill themselves in shame. Or as we say in Punjabi, Sharam vich ja ke dub jan.

Really that's the freaking help he did? He urged other people to help :hitwall::hitwall:...This shameless guy is earning billions from Pakistan and that's what he calls help "urging the govt and other NGOs" and running a news item on his channel..that's it?
Shame on him and OP for creating the misleading title

Since these people are in another country, only Pakistani government can do anything about it, his job was to bring the issue to forefront which he did.

He is pretty influential guy and can support them with food and other supplies to get their stay better. Running a new item is part of the ethical and moral duty of any news channel so no surprise there... they get paid for news and I think many other channel would have also broadcasted the news.

The government is kind and helpful to themselves. Example they send PIA saw they themselves can be brought back from London

They are Pakistani citizens stranded in another country, he is nothing more then glorified reporter, not the ambassador or the Prime minister of Pakistan in Saudi Arabia.

Selling news is his job because he will make money selling news, somehow this issue of stranded Pakistanis becomes irrelevant really!. Ambassador of Pakistan to Saudi Arabia gets paid to look after interest of Pakistan, Helping these people are part of his freaking job, I suppose that is also irreverent since the news makes incompetent government looks bad.

Does anybody remember the stranded Pakistani in Bangladesh anymore? They should come before any other stranded Pakistanis as a matter of right.

That was in your time old man. Too bad you ran away from the country instead of raising your voice.

Ganja has way too much personal interest with Saudia to speak out against Saudia or help the Pakistani workers stranded there....so what good is he to the people he is supposed to lead?

Would love to see how a nooni can defend him for this.
