Monday is the 150th birth anniversary of one of the greatest human being ever born on Earth. Not just another poet, novelist, short-story writer, essayist, playwright, thespian, educationist, spiritualist, philosopher, internationalist, painter, cultural relativist, orator, composer, song-writer, singer, artist, he is the man who reshaped Indian thoughts. He created new definitions of love, spirituality, freedom and humanity through his "profoundly sensitive, fresh and beautiful verses". His songs are national anthems of two nations but his writings have no boundary of culture and nationality. His poems teaches us to love people, love our country and love the world. Human lifespan is precious, we have much to do that is good and valuable for everyone. Rabindranath can led us to that goodness. I pay my tribute to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.
"WHERE the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where knowledge is free
Where the world has not been broken up into fragments
By narrow domestic walls
Where words come out from the depth of truth
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards perfection
Where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way
Into the dreary desert sand of dead habit
Where the mind is led forward by thee
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country awake."
