‘Celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day’

This is far far far worse than China regaining sovereignty in Tibet and Xinjiang, which is a perpetual ridicule points for Indian PDF,

The man was interviewed sometime ago when he was in Australia. At that time he owned a piece of land there and he was being some sort of cowboy, I guess owning a ranch, agriculture and animal husbandry kind of stuff(at least that is what the interview made us believe). How he reached there I don't know. But living in a farm seems to be a choice against living in a city. That is why I called him a simpler man. I did not call him a simple man because he did own land and seemed to be doing what he wanted, which is a luxury for many people.

The Nizam heirs did not get much from the Indian government. Most of their lands and estates were taken away. Their diwans or ministers managed to stash away more wealth than them(This is according to local rumor. I guess this is more because of GoI's error of omission while confiscating assets). The Nizam's family trust was, a year or so ago was begging Indian government for some money to provide education to their young generations. Don't mistake it, by education, they meant medicine, engineering and Harvard level stuff.

You're confused a bit. The man in Australia was the descendent of the Nizam who had inherited some of the property. The man I called stingy was his father (or maybe grandfather)

Bharat can redress the grievances of the peoples of the occupied states by providing them comforts and facilities on preferential basis. The peoples of the ex-princely states shall then begin to feel happy for being with Bharat. Bharat failed to give them what their nawabs and rajas had been giving them.

Your Lahore and Karachi look like a village infront of Hyderabaad, now you could easily guess that what are the level of oppurtunities and facilities are provided there.

for me, it is not about the nizam ( he was a monarchist )... my objection is that bjp is making this proposition to target islam indirectly.

okay, if there should be this day then to balance, the bjp must declare a "free from vijayanagar day" ( vijayanagar was a south indian hindu kingdom )... fair's fair.

He was the heir to Nizam. I know that much. Yeah, I also heard about the Turkish apartment, but forgot who it was about. May be it was the Nizam's son. The Nizam's had close relations with the Caliphate. Nizam's queen was Kaliph's daughter Niloufar. There is a hospital in Hyderabad named after her.

You are totally misguided about Lahore and Karachi. What better than Nizam could Bharat do for the Hyderabadis?

You can't compare your capital with our capital. You can't compare your commercial capital Bombay with our commercial capital Karachi. In Karachi, you can hardly see any people sleeping on footpaths. You people failed to offer the standard of even Pakistan let alone that of Nizam's dynasty. Do something for Hyderabadis instead of indulging yourselves into a falsified celebration. You can mark this day as a dark chapter of the history.

TS Armed Struggle week celebrations - The Hindu
Updated: September 12, 2015 05:47 IST

As a prelude to the Telangana Liberation Day celebrations, which will be held on September 17, the Communist Party of India, Karimnagar district unit, has decided to conduct the Telangana Armed Struggle week celebrations from Friday onwards, till September 17.

The CPI leaders launched the celebrations by garlanding the statues of Baddam Yellareddy and Anabheri Prabhakar Rao in Karimnagar town on Friday.

On the occasion, CPI former floor leader in the Assembly, Gunda Mallesh, launched a scathing attack against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for neglecting the martyrs of the Telangana Armed Struggle and hailing the Nizam rulers.

Recollecting the struggle launched against the Nizam rulers and the merger of Telangana with the Union government on September 17, 1948, he found fault with the TRS government for not celebrating Telangana Liberation Day as a State festival.

He alleged that the Chief Minister was acting as a feudal and had failed to fulfil promises made before the elections.

CPI district secretary K. Ramgopal Reddy, district leaders B. Ashok, P. Raju, K. Shoba, P. Kedari and others were present.
